tried to take off the oval yonex sticker on the cone if you cannot easily take it off, that means this racket is genuine if you can take it off easily, put the sticker back and return it
We are not sure if this: goes together with this: and this: But mainly because we never see pictures of Yonex rackets bought in India. I have seen Saina Nehwal play with a racket that had a Sunrise hologram sticker on it though ... Best would be if you can compare/check with other players if their number on the cone ends on ID but also have the SP writing on the shaft, PBSI logo and square hologram sticker. We could ask to remove the grip and check for a barcode sticker but it's quite difficult to get it back on (the red grip). Can you start a new thread here http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/235-Identify-Fake-Racket and include the pics, hopefully some fellow Indians can assist and confirm they have the same details .
Thanks a lot for your replies I will start a new thread regarding this problem. Anyway what does ID and SP stand for ? Is it Indonesia and Singapore ? Did indonesia manufacture the cone and singapore manufactured the shaft ? I tried to peel off the yonex sticker on the cone and its quite hard to do so.
nope, ID is for India Indonesia I think we don't have one, we also go for SP SP mean Singapore when the shaft has SP usually the cone code would have SP at the end too (it should be, 280703SP, not ID) that's why we said it is pretty unusual all high end Yonex rackets are made in Japan (you can see on the shaft, made in japan, or on the butt cap) some mid or low end usually made in Taiwan or china the ID, SP, etc on the cone is code for distribution area there are JP for japan distribution, UK for united kingdom, CH for China, etc but the shaft is pretty worn out, are you sure that racket are new?
hello demolidor/avenger, I could have just interchanged the shaft serial with the code code since i just typed the codes in my cellphone. It could have been clearer if I took pictures instead. Yes, it comes with Sunrise hologram sticker. Does this mean that if it comes with Sunrise hologram sticker, there's no two letter codes at the end of the cone code? The shop owner told me the z-slash is being sold at an introductory price that is why it is cheaper than the other two rackets.
Ya the racket is brand new. It says made in japan on the shaft (See the picture above) and on the butt cap Does that mean its a high end racket ? What if the racket is manufactured elsewhere ? Doesn't it have the same quality as the japanese version ? And also my racket is strung with BG65 which is yellow in color and it doesn't have the yonex logo on it ( picture above ). Do all BG65 come without yonex logo and do i have to ask them to manually include the logo on the string ?

Sorry for offtopic, but is the hologram sticker supposed to be oval on all rackets? Mine is rectangular with rounded edges (it's a Yonex sticker, not Sunrise or anything like that, and it's almost impossible to peel off).

sorry it's a fake racket may I know he name of the "local reseller"? please checkpost number 3, I gave the detail why it is fake: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/94521-New-Fake-Yonex-Rackets-Phenomenon
well, you can ask a refund.. (send e-mail to yonex usa so you can get official notice that it is fake and start a dispute) many people fall into victim with this type of shaft serial and cone code, you are the 18th victim.. (and many others that I spotted from another forums) is it comes with box, soft-cloth bag, rectangular sticker on the handle and tag around the frame?
