mostly is 88g --- factory produce racket weight in a range for 3U racket it is 85--89.9g but YONEX control the weight very well that mostly it is between 87 88 89g -- 88g is the most
Played a doubles match with a "I'll wing at everything" type of player yesterday with my PRO 9000... We had three major clashes and not a scratch was to be found on the racket. Seems we are talking pretty solid paintjob here as well.
I must be getting older... played 11 games of doubles and 1 game of singles tonight, and I'm finding that I'm playing better with the 9000 than with my MX80... Same great feel and touch, same accuracy, but so much more effortless power.
To me the 9000 feels very close to the mx70. Maybe just a tad softer actually. Very individual I guess.
yeah, it's kinda strange... i can get better accuracy out of the 9000 than the mx70, so i figured the 9000 must be stiffer btw, have you noticed if your shots with the 9000 are louder and more pronounced? ie. more PAARP
Got a Pro9000 and Pro6000 from the friendly Singapore dealer who has a wide range of strings I will use Victor SW37 to compare with Pro9000 and BS12 with Pro6000. Pro 9000 Flex: Stiff Balance: 295 mm (Dry) Weight: 86g Strings: YONEX BG66 Ultimax Tension: 28lbs Impression: The racket looks very much like VICTOR SUPERWAVE 37 except for the 76 holes where SW37 only has 72. Paint job is excellent except for some small blemishes the size of a peck of dust Turquoise color is more toned down and humble looking than the 2nd gen bright green. Design, fonts, printing and cs cap are as good as top end rackets. Stiffness: The scales seems accurate for me as Pro9000 is indeed a little stiffer than SW37. The stiffness is definitely below MX80 and perhaps close to MX70. Less stiff than probably a YONEX VT80 and AT900. Lobs/Clears: Can generate power pretty easily, without feeling the stiffness and demand like VT80 and MX80. Easier than SW37. Control: Excellent control. The stiffness is just right for such. Of cse a even stiffer racket like VT80 and MX80 could be better but Pro9000 is good enough without sacrificing your strength to handle very stiff rackets. Smashing: The Pro 9000 is very stable and easy to generate power. Even though this is not a very head heavy racket, it has a hammer effect like SW37 probably due to the embedded Titanium in the frame, just like the Superwave series. There is a little air resistance compared to SW37 who has virtually none. However i feel that the air resistance actually made my timing better Defense: A power racket is naturally weaker in defense, but this racket is an exception. I thought SW37 is already a very fast and maneuverable racket but Pro9000 is faster!!! It swings as fast as a VICTOR Bravesword! Net shot, front court: Excellent due to the stiffness and maneuverability. This swings like a great forecourt racket like the VICTOR Bravesword series Conclusion: This racket is easy to get along and packs power, suitable for all sort of players, be it singles, doubles, attacking or defensive. This racket is very all round and especially helpful to wristy players. All i wish is for it to be a little stiffer This is a spot on winner. Seen other reviews that this is faster and easier than the latest SW30! So what are you waiting for Pro 6000 Flex: Mid Stiff Balance: 293 mm (Dry) Weight: 85g Strings: YONEX BG66 Ultimax Tension: 28lbs Impression: Very nice design and very similar to the design theme of VICTOR Bravesword 10 and 11. Blue is a more refreshing colour to the red, which i feel the latter looks too much like Bravesword 10 and 11 It has the side edges of the Bravesword series and the paintjob is much better than Bravesword 12. Stiffness: The scale displays mid stiff and i feel it is a little more flexi than MX70. Maybe it is close to MX60. Nonetheless, similar stiffness to Bravesword 12. Lobs/Clears: Crisp and easy to follow through. Can generate power easily with the aid of a little more flex, without feeling the stiffness and demand like VT80 and MX80. Easier to get used to than Bravesword 12. Control: I would say these aerodynamic rackets are not know to possess the best control in the market. I didnt find BS12 a good control racket and the best aerodynamic control racket imo is BS10 and Pro6000 is very close to that. Smashing: The Pro 6000 is very stable and easy to generate power. There is a little air resistance compared to BS12 who has virtually none. But as mentioned in the Pro9000 review, i feel that the air resistance actually made my timing better Due to the flex, you can easily use a bigger pronation to generate thunderous smashes. Good for wristy players and maybe even better for arm players. Defense: Very fast! Can hear the nice sword sound I have used all of the Bravesword series before lest BS15 and this is by far the fastest! So fast till i missed many shots Net shot, front court: Can really compare with a stiffer racket but the excellent maneuverability has made things very easy, depending on what type of player you are. Conclusion: This racket is very very easy to get along and packs power, suitable for all players who prefers alot of maneuverability and speed. This racket is very all round. All i wish is for it to be a little stiffer as usual This is surely a value for money bang for buck racket suitable for those who are looking for a VICTOR Bravesword series and at just perhaps 60% of the price? Definitely a winner!
Panda purchased 3 x Pro 9000s and 3 x Pro 6000s and is currently testing them. Will post a detailed review in a few days. Initial testing yielded excellent all-around results, especially in durability and feel. The Pro9000 is extremely strong, one of the strongest rackets currently available. ZM70 @ 34lbs. was no biggie for the 9000. Test Rackets and Specs: Pro 9000 # 1: 87.5g, BP296 Strung with ZM62 @31lbs. # 2: 87.3g, BP295 Strung with ZM70 @ 34lbs. # 3: 85.3g, BP290 Strung with ZM62 @ 24lbs. Pro 6000 # 1: 87.5g, BP295 Strung with ZM62 @30lbs. # 2: 87.2g, BP294 Strung with ZM70 @ 33lbs. # 3: 85.1g, BP288 Strung with ZM62 @ 23lbs.
^^ Oh no! Now that big Panda is discovered the 9000, I better put in my reorder before they run out! . Looking forward to your review.
Second time with Pro9000 I will follow up with a brief review after my first post. 1. Attention: due to its good appearance and excellent playability, the racket is turning heads! My fellow club members are really surprised about the price too. 2. This time I used the MX70 first and followed up with the Pro9000. I noticed a bit increase in my power shots after I made a switch. I will give the edge to Pro9000 finally. 3. The MX70 is slightly head heavier than the Pro9000, adding to the better swing speed, my clears are definitely better with the MX70. 4. Defense and touch: I had a easier time defending and blocking with the Pro9000, now I realized it is due to less head heaviness. I did much better than last week in this department so I guess my body is still getting attuned to the racket. 5. Sound: like some others have said, this racket produces a loud sound off smashes, even if I wasn't swinging that hard. I am not sure what it is as the sound should be from the strings, not racket. Finally, I decide to play the Pro9000 in mens doubles and Mx70 in mixed doubles, most because it is better at defending and has a stronger frame.
yeah, too bad its in singapore :crying: maybe i'll email eric directly but i'm afraid that i'll go for a crazy spending spree since i'm ordering anyways
