we need a great MS coach... only rely on agus dwi santoso is not good.

I fear that Indonesia MS will be in darkness era like we are now in WS :(. None of current young MS that shown potential like Simon and Sony which already shining at age of 19 (not to mention Taufik).
Even now, INA young MS already underdog when facing young MS from IND, THA, TPE.

no need to fear.... just enjoy it.... we just need a right coach and system....
talent wise, we have some good talents...
is there any country who have outstanding MS U-20 who shine in senior stage right now ??
except Denmark with Axelsen, i dont see any...

other country have the same problem. dont worry...
we still have 2 world class MS in Sony and Simon.... whom i believe will still be around until 2016....

What about Rexy Mainaky who was called back by Gita directly and Susi Susanti is also in the mix.

Halim is a coach here in northern california , USA. Tony owns A badminton club in Southern California. Both are doing well. I doubt they want to go back unless paid handsomely.

There will be a lot of changes, from coach, smaller pelatnas, individual contracts meaning we will see more brands like victor, Li Ning, specs, babolat...some players will play more than 1 category....more extreme restriction on players....also new sponsored on iNA's uniforms.....well..too many things that new cabinet has to fix ...hopefully it will be fruitful

I really hope that Chandra Wijaya and Sigit Budiarto will be coach in Pelatnas.
we have many talents in MD but Ko Herry IP can not make them to be world class.
even, a pair like Christo/Andrei is actually good.

I dont have idea for MS, but i think, Hermawan Susanto can help us :)

i will wait a surprise news from PBSI, Hauge :)

Justian seeks more respect for badminton

Musthofid, The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Sports | Fri, December 21 2012, 9:39 AM

    Paper Edition | Page: 9

Justian Suhandinata, an Indonesian candidate for the Badminton World Federation (BWF) presidency, promised to support the sport at the Olympics as well as champion it to be considered a more dignified sport.

He disclosed his interest in the BWF top position on Thursday but the decision to run for the May election, he said, had not been taken until he learned that the incumbent president Kang Young-joong would not seek a third term.

“Queries about my interest were raised as early as a year ago, but I said I would not step forward for it as long as an Asian still held the post, until Kang said in Bangkok three weeks ago that he would not run for the third term because of personal reasons,” he said.

Justian was accompanied by 1996 Olympic men’s doubles gold medalist Ricky Subagja, who is head of media relations in the recently installed board of Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI).

More sponsors money and more rewards for coaches and players are the right directions. I like the new reformed PBSI.

There will be less players seeking to find own sponsor if this is the case.

Today, Rexy Mainaky will come back from Philippine to Indonesia. As soon as he touched his homeland he will coordinate with PBSI Officials, thus we expected some athletes being sent home & some athletes being called to Pelatnas which announcement will be made after all Pelatnas athletes return back from their long holiday 23.12.2012 to 06.01.2013.

We will look forward for major improvement in all departments, especially in MD.
