YES! Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita progress to the SF after a straight-set victory over Kim Dae Eun/Ko A Ra 21-19, 21-13. They will face the top-seed Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying tomorrow.

Now, can Irfan/Weni follow their footstep?

So far, their performance has been quite consistent...only losing to experienced pairs (Diju/Gutta & Fran/Shendy) or fellow rising pairs (Jongjit/Amitrapai & Kang/Shin).

Irfan/Weni take the first-set 22-20, despite having a 11-6 lead at the interval.

I believe the MAS pair still has the edge...but....we shall see if Riky/Richi can push for rubber-set. That will be enough for me.

CPS's hand is has a slight injury.. do not be shocked if the INA pair pull off a win... although the injury shouldn't affect how he plays..

A narrow escape for Sindhu in G1, 21-19 from 17-19 down. Really have to expect the unexpected, anybody from the QFs is capable, not just possible, of winning the title, I think.

Razif/Anscelly lead 11-7 in the interval of the second-set. There could be a rubber-set.

Lee Chong Wei vs Chong Wei Feng, very interesting quarter-final but don't expect any surprises, next to impossible at the moment

How good are the young Irfan/Weni? I didnt expect Razif & Amelia A to go far since they dont train together & Amelia is studying in uni.

Despite the lack of stars in the MAS GPG 2012 and the fact of the 7000 pts from winning the title will not even add to LCW's ranking, the home favorite is still expected to deliver the title this week.

Meanwhile, it's a rubber-game for the XD match.

Definitely inferior to Riky/Richi (having lost to them twice). They reached the Final of INA IC 2009 before being called up (correct me if I am wrong). Since they joined Pelatnas, they have been quite mediocre:
2010 - 6 tourneys (2 IC, 2 GP, 1 GPG, 1 SS) with the best result being QF of INA IC.
2011 - 9 tourneys (3 IC, 1 GP, 3 GPG, 1 SS, 1 SSP); reaching QFs of Vietnam GP, Korea GPG & SF of India IC.
2012 - 3 tourneys so far (1 IC, 2 GPG); reaching QFs of MAS GPG and SF of Osaka IC.

Irfan/Weni lead 11-10 at the interval of the decider.
