Ratchanok Intanon - Arcsaber Flash Boost Borrowing Demolidor's format, as it is so organized & nice. Hope you don't mind, demolidor..
It's most definitely athletic tape. It's not 3 grams! Why the hell would anyone put 3 grams on top of the head? It's way too heavy that way...2-3 layers of athletic tape make a huge difference. Putting it on doesn't take much time either.
Thanks for the info and pictures, demolidor. I had applied one layer of those tape on my AT900P, i noticed that by applying those tape, it is really helpful to bring down the shuttle. It makes the racket heavier at the beginning, however if you constantly used it, you will get used to it, eventually. LD & CL used it during practice for sure.
Here is Joachim Fischer N. applying the athletic tape on the top of his frame but in one strip, unlike Lin Dan & Co. Iirc Boe does it in the same manner as Fischer:
Is anyone watching the Indian Open? Surprised to see AHM/NAT sponsored by Victor. Gunna take a wild guess here.... Tontowi Ahmad - BS11 Llilyana Natsir - BS160L Shin Baek Choel - SW37N Jang Ye Na - BS12N
There was an official announcement that AHM and NAT are sponsored by Victor. They also won AE with Victor. How can you have missed that?
Not been following badminton so closeley, have you? Indonesia's team apparel is now sponsored by Victor while the players have individual contracts for individual tournaments. Ahmad: Bs12N Natsir: Bs12L (new lady's version of the Bs12) SBL is right (Sw37N) JYN uses the Bs11 afaik (as does Kim Ha Na, and a lot of the other WD players) Guys tend to stay with the Bs12, Mx80 primarily (some JJS and SW users, but not a whole lot).
Markis Kido, her XD-partner and others are sponsored by Li-Ning. And they wear Li-Ning too. Check indonesian player-subforum here. I'm too lazy to post the link Yonex, Victor, Flypower, Li-Ning are the new sponsors for all indonesian players. I've also seen some doubles pairs with different sponsors (player 1 Yonex, player 2 Li-Ning).
*his XD partner Kido hasn't been part of the Ntl team for a while though, so he has been free to choose his sponsor since then, as did Setiawan when he competed independantly. And you forgot Astec, an Indonesian brand - they got a few players as well.
Yup, I forgot. Oh well, I think I will have to do some research to understand how these associations and national teams work
This is what happens when you start University. You miss out on the really important things in life, like who uses which racket
