    But the complete participants in each discipline, esp. in MS (64), are many more than your shaded tables (the first 24 highlighted)... how about the REST?

    And what's the significance of these first 24 players? :confused: Yes, for seeding but not all the 24 are seeded, right?

    how on earth is KKK/TBH ranked number 2 in the world ???:eek: they keep losing but their ranking get higher ????

    is the ranking system based on number of losses or how loud you shout at your opponents ???

    They are frequently participate in super series, although does not bring back gold, at least they get points.

    7. SEEDING
    The World Championships shall be seeded in accordance with Competition Regulation 12 based on the
    World Ranking as stated in the date lines in Annexure I, except that the number of seeds shall be 16 in all events.

    8. SUBSTITUTIONS

    8.2 After the closing date for entries until the Sunday prior to the draw date, a player who has entered may be unable to take part through illness, injury, or other unavoidable cause. That player's place in singles and / or doubles will be taken by the next eligible player / pair as per Regulations for
    Eligibility and Processing of Entries for World Championships (Part III, Section 8B).

    Really hard to believe.... KKK/TBH can hardly beat any pair in the top 16 in the world PERIOD !!

    and they are ranked number 2 by bwf..... pfftt....

    ha ha ha agree, the BWF's point system is "eccentric"! I remember to read in some posts by AlanY in SN's thread pointed out how bizarre some particular point calculation is...

    here are the posts after some search...
    Dunno how many more anomaly the system has.
