Hi! I'm planning to have a new racket and I wanted to have a Yonex Carbonex 20 racket. Im a intermidiate player who loves smashing and dropping at the same time.

My question is, is it advisable to buy a Carbonex 20 nowadays that there are a lot of new technology in rackets(Victor, RSL) and it might be advantageous to buy it than Yonex "old" Carbonex 20 series?

and oh by the way there are to many Carbonex 20 series and i'm planning to have the special edition the all black one(cool). Is that suited for my style or the muscle or long?

Thanks a lot and more POWER!

    Jeff

really? thats great! im planning to buy the Victor Artec something. But my heart is with the carbonex20:).

I'll be buying tomorrow and i kinda like the special edition the black and gold. Is it the same performance as the reviews in other Carbonex20 by Dinkalot?

    Thanks!

Im planning to buy the Carbonex20 too, or the carbonex 30 ms. I used my cab8sp yesterday, which was my first yonex racquet. I loved it! The power and the feeling.. now, Im questioning myself, 'why did i buy that armortec700 and mp40 ?' Ah.. sadly, the old cab8 is making a 'clicking' noise by the handle, which is quite annoying.

really? specifically what carbonex 20 do you plan to buy? Since there are many models of Cab20 that are selling in the market? My personal preference is the "special" edition. But i dont know if it is the same racket that Dinkalot reviewed...

Wong Chon Han (Malaysia) is using new Cab 21 (all black with red and gold rims on the frame) instead, he is not using Cab 20.

It's a personal choice, but rackets has evolved a lot since the Carbonex 20. The types of Cab20 like Tour, Ti, Power are not the same. At least they feel different. I currently own 3 Carbonex 21 rackets, and even they are not the same. The last cab21 I bought is 3U-G4 (lighter). The feel is completely different from the older types (blue ones).

I also own almost all cab20 rackets, but the later models are stiffer. And they are cheaper than the latest 'advanced' rackets in the Yonex range. If you are looking for more power, try the cab30MS or Cab23. But these rackets become very rare nowadays.
