i put it at 10 12 and 2 o clock. I know the optimum position is 12 o clock but a little more head heavy wont hurt and the shaft is a little flexible so it cant break too easy. regarding the eating racket maybe someone would sit like this picture waiting or watching an exciting game and forget that he is holding a dangerous racket to consume and accidentally eat it or something.
Actually no I wasn't serious!. There was a smiley there when I initially typed it but I accidently erased it when I re-typed it opps!
Guys, let me ask you this. How much will you pay to have a experienced person to customize your racquet for you? ie, add lead tape and hide it inside of the frame? Mod the grip size up or down? Let's take a vote. I personally charge $20 for lead tape job and $25 for grip size mod. I want to make it so not too many people will ask for it.
I don't really see the point that people are add lead tape to get head heavier racquet, are you guys comparing yourself with LinDan? Go back to the courts and enjoy your games with already well-made racquets.
i say...just get a different racquet if you think its still too light. But for the few that think the at700 is still too head light...you could try using steel pellets taped down
All of the maniacs here who added athletic tape, lead tape, etc to their AT700s to make their balance points 330+...
i actually find that my 3ug4 at700 is a bit too light still, just maybe 1or 2 grams more will be good. But im far too lazy to add stuff on to it
Electric tapes are not as good as lead tape, because electric tape is light and you will need more of it. This will mean more drag on the racquet when you swing it. The best is to put the desired weight of hmg and put it at the 12 o'clock, spread over not more than 1 inch long, and then put it into the mold. The plant will probably not do this for you for a few racquets. So the next practical way is to use lead tape at the 12 o'clock. The weight of the lead tape should be from 0.5g to 1g, no more. Also forget about putting lead tape inside the frame-it cannot be done. There is a bladder inside the frame hollow and both the bladder and grommets get in the way.
I just finished putting on lead tape on my Woven 7. The BP went from 298mm to 318mm so i am happy but was expecting more. Will post a picture later.
how a lead tape apply to a racket?? izit need to cut off all the string then only apply it?? and lead tape just like something similer to grip?? can someone post the lead tape picture and how it apply to racket thx >.< !!
You don't have to cut the string. You apply it to the frame of the racket. here is a pic of my AT150 with lead tape on the top of the frame. http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/4006/img0035ia5.jpg
