Ironically, it's Lee Jae Jin who won the Olympics Bronze Medal with Hwang Ji Man and retired with glory after that
LJJ is known as badminton genius with lots of instinctive sense in badminton but he had suffered from some unforced errors at the important moments. He played with HJM in MD and for a while with LHJ in XD and made a good number of achievements. He's now in action in his regional team playing in national games, sometimes in minor international tourneys. JJS/LJJ was a great team to beat the Olympic Gold Medalists KDM/HTG to win the National Championships (maybe in 2004 or something.) I guess if they continued working out together for more time, they could have achieved better partnerships. But at that time, they were not the best to become the number 1 in the world. LJJ had still the troubles of errors at the net and JJS was not good in controlling the pace and managing the whole game. So, later, JJS pointed LYD, who had just got the Junior World Championship titles both in MD and XD, as his new partner in late 2005 because LYD was one of the best net players at the time and played like experienced seniors despite of his young age. After about 1.5 ~ 2 yrs of experiences in the senior stages, the Korean duo started to stand out to be the best in MD by getting the 2008 AE title, beating their teammates, LJJ/HJM in the final. A short history for the new-comers.
He should & ought to know their history.. ..after all, our narnia's fave pair includes JJS. As far as i know, only him along with another long time Korean-based BCer, event, have contributed most of the Korean players' info/news in BC.
He definitely does! He's BC's human search function. Or is he human at all? Back to topic: I think LYD's getting too much injury problem because he's too much exposed. I bet he's usually invited to do exhibition games and what not. He should prioritize tournaments. But if he's making big bucks out of those, I can't blame him.
hahaha, i agree with that. playing highest level MD and XD is not easy. Prolly most talented player currently if one count the # of events he has to play in. I'm surprised that lyd hasn't sat out from injury sooner.
That's really not a surprise.. ..Add the XD even to his MD event, should we be surprised by his recent injury? LYD suffering some sort of injury is not really a surprise considering he's been playing basically non-stop throughout the 2009 season. If he doesn't get some sort of injury playing that many, then i may say he's "not human".
I admire and love this guy on his sporting spirit and fight for his country! this is called hero for the country
hopefully leeyd and jungjs will be healhty come the thomas cuip.too bad they probalbly will not b eable to compete in the all enbgland this year.
^^Very good to hear..^^ ..i'm sure you're also excited to see them competing again and should they win, you'll get to add more to their h-2-h stats..
Actually, he said he's got better and okay. But it seems not completly cured. He showed great eagerness to play; he is a real lover of badminton.
..i can sense the rumblings of our currently-idled but beloved narnia's footsteps in the near distance and is about to make his presence felt, once again in this thread, should JJS & LYD win the CHN Taipei Open MD title..
