Darren Liew of course, maybe WZM got complety surprised by the unconventional style of play.

Looks like at the moment Wang's game is a bit one-dimensioned, losing to such unorthodox players like Taufik and

Darren. A bit different from predecessors like LD or CJ who could just muscle their way through all opposition.

Maybe he needs to be exposed to a wider variety of styles.

Well Wang Zheng Min is finally making some headway, finally qualifying In HK Open and beating seasoned Hafiz Hashim.

That is after losing to Darren Liew and Park Sung Hwan in recent tournaments.

Wonder how his game is progressing and whether his hard hitting style is still relevant in future years to come.

So Lee Chong Wei defeats Wang Zhengming 21-17 21-11 in the 2nd round of HK SS 2010, some improvement still required from Wang who is now #52 in the world.

WZM plays the most entertaining game in the business. He plays a very positive attacking style with very pleasing smashing motions. He is also athletic and quick on his defense. It's an absolute pleasure to watch his game.

Having said that, he still needs to fortify his basic skills to cut down on easy misses. Also, his frequent brain cramp or absent-mindedness is not unlike Wang Lin not too long ago.

Once he manages to reduce his unforced errors and easy giveaways, he will go far. Before that happens, he will continue to have early rounds exits.

Hope he moves on the right track, then there will still be life after Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei.

players have different rhythm for their development. It depends on who's pushing under if they are to be allowed to stay a bit longer. ZN's case is an example.

so in the Korean Open WZM makes the quarters as expected .

I wonder if he can get better scores than CL against LCW.

I hope he can just play with nothing to lose and use it as a benchmark of his development.

Good fight from WZM against LCW in KO, 14-21,19-21, losing in the last 2 points in 2nd set after 19 all

no chance to watch but it could be :

    1) WZM's style is suited to play LCW
    2) LCW was playing chess with CBA and was at cruising speed
    3) LCW not in good form today.

Encouraging results for WZM! Well on his way I'm sure.

Take it easy, LCW has the right to be king at the moment,at least for 2010.

    That situation may change.
