nice! the owner is a BC member? does that mean we can ask for discount? in either case, i already told drifit, BC is paying for the session. no problem.

Suggest you book out the whole HALL, (Elements has only 6 courts) ... and cost RM12.00 per hour ... since there are so many now ... all can play doubles at the same time !! Talk to Alex Ang, he is the big boss ...
i think booking out the whole hall will mean we will never get to chat! maybe one more court? if we have max turnout rate and max occupancy, that means 16 on court at the same time, one rotation wait, which is not too bad. and we can chat and have fun while we wait. most important is we have fun and everyone get to socialize a little!
The owner is my friend who used to be in the national team, there are couple of owners I believe. Sure i think there would be a discount on shuttle.. get back to you on that.
Persuade them to PLAY too ... all of the owners are CURRENT/FORMER MALAYSIAN BAM players .... BlurryD, since you are good friend, ask him IF possible to use the FLOODLIGHTS instead of the court lights ... believe me, the playing feeling is TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Reason I mention this again because most of the other halls in town don't have floodlights, so many players may not have the experience/pleasure of playing in such lighting conditions.
Lets see how it goes.. the partner that i know might not be there... I will do my best to give everyone the best experience.
An update on the courts Want to give a brief update on the courts: 1. I have booked 4 courts, Courts 3, 4, 5, & 6 2. I can request to turn on the lights if required 3. A slight discount is given on both shuttles and courts 4. Couple of the national players are not around as they are going for tournaments 5. Please be there on time
Kwun, Janet & Mum were in Singapore in 2004 It has been a long 8 years since Kwun and family (minus the kids) stepped on our Southeast Asian shores. He was here during the Singapore Open 2004 and we had a memorable time playing social badminton, having our meals at the hawker centre and watching the tournament together. Kwun took the opportunity then to introduce BC to Chen Hong and Gao Ling. I think Zhou Mi was at her peak then. BC Senior Chan from Hongkong, apart from our BC friends from MAS, SIN and elsewhere, graced the occasion to welcome Kwun and family. Here are some pics to bring back some happy memories. Here's wishing you all an enjoyable time in KL!
WHAFAK I KNOW THAT PLACE!! Can still add people ar?? If can please add my name in!! I won't be joining the dinner tho, but the game I'm certainly on! I beginner only, can join? :3 27. Snowlynx
Cool !! As for the shuttles, do check what they will have in stock by 16th Dec, last weekend, I went to the ProShop, almost FINISH of good shuttles, good turnover - the only "decent" ones left (which I like) is the RCL Black Silver (about 2 tubes left at that time). If you guys are feeling "rich" to play using some "heavy duty" shuttles , I know that USJ Supercourts Yonex Proshop (about 15 mins drive away) is selling "cheapish" Aerosensa 50 for RM79 per tube at the moment.
whoa. we look so young then!!! Loh, pity you are unable to join us. but i am sure there are opportunities to meet again in the future.
Great occasion there, Loh. Graced by no less than the reigning World MD Champion at that time, Jonas Rasmussen, and future World XD Champion Thomas Laybourn.
Birdies are not that expensive in MAS and we have plenty of choices and varieties although it is increasing esp YY Aerosensas . I am just highlighting to check what may be available in the Elements ProShop as I saw a lot of their stock of good birdies have been sold in junior tournaments/holiday camps recently held there. You don't want to be caught out having to play with so-so birdies on the day ....
