It's good to see Mohd Ulinnuha/Berry Angriawan taking the MD title in the Adult Category. This shows that they are more than ready to take on the big boys once they complete their junior years after the Asian and World Junior Championships this year!

Likewise, Nurbeta Kwanrico/Aulia Putri and Didit Juang/Seiko Wahyu Kusdianto won their 2nd consecutive domestic titles after the Jakarta Open (3rd in a row for Nurbeta/Aulia!). Jones Ralfy Jansen/Darmiko are also back and won the runners-up, which is a decent achievement by their experience.

I think its safe to say that Nurbeta/Aulia and Didit/Seiko are the best BD and GD pairs we have at the moment, not counting Ulin/Berry and Jenna/Oliv.

    Medal Counts:
    Djarum 4 Golds
    Jaya Raya 2.5 Golds
    SGS 2.5 Golds
    Mutiara 2 Golds
    Tangkas 1 Gold
    Suryanaga 1 Gold
    DKI 1 Gold

Once again, PB Djarum retains its supremacy of the domestic badminton circuits, after the success in the Jakarta Open 2009 as well as Indocock Walikota Surabaya Cup 2009.

The next Domestic Circuits will be held in the cities of Tegal and Solo (July).
Also, not forgetting the GGJP Indonesia International Challenge 2009, which will be held one week before the World Championships 2009 in early August.

Mohd Ulinnuha/Berry Angriawan -- turning 18/18 this year and its a good decision by PB Djarum to throw them into the Open Category for the past few tourneys and let Didit/Seiko fight in the U-19 category. After observing their performances this year (European Junior and Indonesian Domestic circuits), needless to say, I am quite impressed and they should be INA's no 1 MD pair in the near future! I think they could also be competing in the GGJP Indonesia Challenge 2009 and a couple of GP tourneys to rake up some experience before the WJC?

Didit Juang/Seiko Wahyu Kusdianto -- 18/17. Didit/Seiko have at least 1 more year in junior years, so, they should be the next one to be promoted to Open Category once Ulin/Berry are called up to Pelatnas.

Nurbeta Kwanrico/Aulia Putri -- 17/17. I bet this pair will also get called up to Pelatnas Pratama at least by next year perhaps? No doubt, their performance this year has been outstanding!

They have changed the PBSI calendar... Now we have 5 successive tournaments in 5 weeks in July-August:
Solo Cup (Swasta Nasional); equivalent to the Walikota Cup in Surabaya
Central Java National Circuit in Tegal
East Java National Circuit in Surabaya
Astec Indonesian Challenge in Jakarta; :) This is new!
East Indonesia National Circuit in Bali

Gudang Garam's management has decided to not support the Suryanaga Club anymore. Nor will they support the tournament. So, PBSI gave the rights to hold Indonesian Challenge to Astec. :) The tournament will be played in the Jakarta Indoor Tennis Stadium.

Nurbeta-Aulia are not the most talented GD we've seen. But they are quite cute to watch. :D Quite lively. :p I also know they are both very hard working because they have no illusion that they have extraordinary talents... I heard they are working hard to improve their power and strength. Both are the favorites of Coach Deni Kantono.

Hana Ramadini is a rising star from Mutiara... She won back-to-back Under-16 National Circuit titles... In West Java, they call her the next Susi Susanti... :) Quite promising...

Thomy Azizan Mahbub and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito (a.k.a. 'Vito') are both 15 and talented... Still technically incomplete, but they show world-class MS potential... Together with Arief Gifar Ramadhan, they are the most dominant Under-16 players in INA today... Shesar and Gifar have started to compete in the Under-19 categories regularly this year... I want to see the next ranking publication by PBSI when they update it on Monday (I heard)...
