Tien Minh is struggling for fluency today. Down game 1, up 15-9 and 18-14, and then, suddenly scrapping at 19-17, and gasping through at 21-18. Hope he has a better rubber game. :(

Meanwhile, HHB/BYX have taken the foot off the pedal and are cruising 15-9 in game 2, with the match now into it's sedate 18th minute...

Duanganong and Kunchala appear to have reached a mental block against Miyuki/Satoko.
Game 1 was a respectable 21-16, but game 2 is 13-1... and the Thais are on the wrong side of both scores...

Wesley Caulkett has been possibly, the busiest player in this tournament, so far.
Yesterday, he played his MS match against Taufik, where he lost out.
Today, he just finished his R16 XD match against BYX/HHB, where he and his partner Wendy Chen lost.
Later today, he plays a MD match with Raymond Tam, against Hoon and Teo of Malaysia.

Wesley will be remembering this year's Aus Open for a long, long time... :)

    CWB lost!!
    NTM survived the scares...!!

but in summary CWB did more smash winner than NTM, most likely NTM change his strategy by making CWB do more unforce errors...

    pity CWB...

so therefore MAS MS is officially bye bye in AUS Open...

LOL....once again, no INA rep in WS beyond Thursday. It has been a damaging trend.

I dare not put much hope on any of our INA WS player. Not when the top-seeded Bellaetrix Manuputty even lost to an unknown Japanese in the first round of the Osaka IC.

The Thais are not the only pair that seem to have reached a mental block against the stubborn Japanese pair. Mel/Grace lost a total of 3 times to Suetsuna/Maeda just last year.

I'm so glad to see MAS "aunties" getting back to form to vie for a place in perhaps their last chance to appear in the London Olympics.

Having been WR1 not too long ago, they can prove their worth again, barring injuries.

Here is a glimpse of the "aunties" about six years ago during the Melbourne Commonwealth Games 2006. Not forgetting the exuberant Malaysian students who support the MAS teams.

And some BC members who specially gathered in Melbourne for that occasion too. :)

Simon Santoso also struggled to get past Chan Yan Kit.

Another easy victory as predicted for Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati. It will be different against the top-seed Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda tomorrow.
