Ah, without pre-stretching the frame, the stringer have to add +3 lbs on the cross. Is that correct, Greatest GrandMaster K?

    Hi Alan

Great to have met you and for the chats at the AE last week. And thanks for letting me video your tie-off technique! I'm quite sure I'll struggle doing a tie-off at B9 with three strings through the same grommet but I might give it a try. Please find attached your pics as promised
    .

    Best regards!

Nice pictures! Looks like string type doesn't matter much.

In the All England commentary, the male commentator mentioned that Lee Yong Dae had his rackets strung around 34lb.

    Racquets at All England 2012

Thanks to this post from Badmintoncn.com, here are some behind the scene information regarding the string tension and types of the biggest names in badminton:

An overall view of the racquets:

    12030907085ddb60f37f932dba.jpg

KKK, Gade and Darren Liew's Z-Force. Note that Gade uses 4UG4:

    Taufik's IN coded, 3UG6 Arc10:

Some Li-Ning racquets being strung with Yonex strings for some of the Malaysian players:

    Some Voltric 70:

The SP coded one with the yellow towel grip and that thick bottom should be familiar to those who knows of this particular fellow who recently has unfortunately not been in good shape..

    12030907092b1c760120d71188.jpg

Looks like he is currently using 4UG5

For the conspiracy theorists among badminton fans:

    120309071809ef637954ca2acd.jpg

Yes, professional players' racquets can also have paint chips if not treated properly.

Last but not least, here is LCW's racquet with his preferred string and tension:

    12030907112a4fea2534c057f5.jpg

A look at the white LCW grip:

    12030907116066816f245061ca.jpg

Now, if you compare LCW's grip thickness to the other Z-Force users:

    12030907086e79d42bb9aee264.jpg

It has already been common knowledge that LCW uses G4 size, so does Gade, KKK and most of the Z-Force in the picture above.

Thus if LCW has removed the original grip and gripped the Super Grap directly onto the wooden handle (or the handle with whatever protective layer), then the LCW grip in this picture could not have been thicker than ALL of the stock grips in the picture as shown would it? The Super Grap even when double layered is still obviously thinner than the stock Yonex grips.

Hope you all enjoyed this knowledge :D

@Blitzzards: You're really a legend, but about the yellow towel grip one you mentioned. Whose is it? It can't be Taufik or Tago so I don't really know who has a Voltric 70 with this kind of grip. :0

They might actually be HK code from another pic in the orignal thread but still Wing Ki Wong uses ARC10 iirc ...
Believe the rackets in question are actually VT80's ;)

Never mind the above :D. I see it is referring to the pic above, not below

I didn't forget about him, I just didn't know he uses a Voltric 70 now, because the last time I saw him when he won the Singapore Open in 2010 he used a Arcsaber Z-Slash. :)
