If only I had that kind of money... unfortunately... for a budget like mine, this machine delivers quality.
I have tested the LF/SW tensioner with the SPTennis electronic calibrator. At 33 lbs eyeball setting, the reading comes out right on at 33.0 lbs .
MWAHHAHAHA.... I just received a package at work today: 1) 2 badminton/squash fixed clamps 2) 2 tennis fixed clamps 3) my stringway T92 double action clamp system. Will mount and install the system either late tonight or sunday evening. Pics will come soon... I'm excited.... For you Canadians... it was a bit less then $500 Canadian for all of the above (which already includes shipping and duty costs). Got to love the exchange rate!
but the big difference is that our orders arrived and shipped at the same time. Don't know if i'm geographically closer to texas then vancouver is though.. I'm just shocked that it all arrived and passed customs in one full week (since i sent my payment info last thursday). That's what i call FAST!
Stringway in the Netherlands What horrorstories about service. I must say that I am glad that I live in the Netherlands where the Stringways/Laserfibres are being made and designed. I recently orderd a ML90 and the guy selling offered to deliver the machine on saturday and give me an explanation on stringing. Wow, that is service. However, I do not know of fixed badminton clamps. Can somebody post a picture? The way it is talked about in this thread is as if the outer teeth are just sawed off. I can do that myself.
Another question, has anybody of you any experience with a tension tester like for instance the stringlab? To me it seems useful to monitor tension drop over time.
I'll post pics (maybe wednesday) when i eventually have the time to get to it... but yes...it looks like the outer teeth are just removed off. which presents the problem of the width of the physical clamp is still exactly the same size as the tennis clamp with all 5 teeth. The pics will explain it all...
Curious about the photo's Guys, any photo's of the badminton clamps yet? I am very curious because I am considering to make my own design (being a mechanical engineer, I should be able to) and have it made. So if besides the photo's you have any comments or ideas, please let me know. And of course, let me know if you would be interested to have one also. The more that are interested, the cheaper production would be.
so like, from the pictures: tennis clamps + angle grinder = baddyclamps Nice stuff, how adjustable is it?
