I try telling ladies it's like facing a penalty in football- side by side is like two goal keepers. I can't think of a shopping analogy to use instead... :)

DuckFeet, you have to thank God your partner is not your wife. Shut your mouth tight if playing with your girl friend or your wife.:)

My wife won't play :( as for my partner - I have learned to shut my mouth, this is why I let her do what she wants and I play at the front!

Actually, that's a lie. If I wind her up she channels her aggression well. I do worry that it might be at the back of my head one day...

Strange, they do that in car parks aswell, instead of parking in one of the spaces they park right down the middle in two spaces just behind the T.

You seem to understand woman, to take it further, don't say anything to a woman on court other than good shot.

I had seen them parked in the middle of two Ts, where the upside down T and the normal T merge. One car takes up 4 parking spaces.

No way, if you really want to make things interesting tell her not to bend over in front of you while you're trying to serve, it really messes with your focus.

Lol, that's the kind of lady if were on a badminton court would insist in playing the back the whole match not getting one backhand over the net and clearing anything else:D

Cannot be in two shops at the same time, you have to choose one shop (side), preferably the one that has better bargains (i.e. diagonally opposite the smasher).

You are part of the reason that women want play side by side only.

:) perhaps I need to leave my sense of humour at the login page like you.

If I said that to the woman I play mixed with, she would wrap my very pretty racquet around the back of my head.

Forcing them to play mixed is a little sexist, no? If they want to play levels, let them. Always let the woman decide and if you don't like that, don't play with them.

That reminds me of "black lacy under wear, see-through white shorts lady". Good times. As a 15yr old that REALLY threw my game. She played at the front too! She was always first to be picked for mixed.... maybe that's why she did it!

Can I just add that the only woman I play mixed with is a very good friend of mine and we have a good laugh and enjoy our games together.

Plan for next match: wear my "Sheldon trousers" so she insists I stand out of sight. Ie at the rear court.

The XP70 is so much more effective front court so far, so that's plan B.

my old mixed partner can actually hit pretty hard, but lack agility and touch. she can defend well and clear it back up pretty well, but whenever we rotate and i end up in the back, and she in the front, she tends to want to hit everything around her even if it had already passed her shoulders. it was frustrating at first because we played with opponents who i knew we could beat if she just stop trying to intercept everything behind her :(

Don't think it's will work as she will be looking at the ceiling - where she's planning to hit the shuttle!:)

PS: My mixed partner does the exact same thing - except she's scared of smashes and ducks with out even trying to hit back!

that's kinda cute i guess, but cuteness won't win any points :( and i should probably be grateful for my partner instead of criticizing her all the time. :)

that's probably one of the more common complaints from the male partner. as from the rear court person point of view, he can hit those shots easily and more offensive as the shuttle is still in front of him.
