Thanks but no thanks. I don't want to be stuck on the PC. Still i have no answer yet for my question on the criteria on being a MOD here. Hmmmm....
The Mod criteria will remain for Kwun & the other Mods only. Like asking a Womans age, It should be rude to pry.........
It would seem, in order to fulfil their duty of long hours online trolling through our drivel, that Moderators have to be prepared to give up some of the luxuries of a normal life (like fresh air? freinds?). And judging from Oldhand's badminton schedule, one has to be able to moderate while playing badminton (surf the internet while not serving into the net)
There should be a standard of doing things even when appointing a MOD. "We must like you" doesnt seems to be like a professional answer. I'm not prying.. just seeking Clarification.
there isn't a set of criteria that we use. that's why there is no precise answer. you can come back and tell us that it is vague and not professional and what not. but the answer will still be the same.
we do not love to ban people. we hate to do it. we also hate police traffic issuing summon to us.... there are i.q. test, objective papers, subjective papers, memory test and a few more. you need to pass with flying colours. :crying::crying::crying:
One of the strictest rules at Badminton Central . Actually, I have found our BC admin/moderators quite lenient. They have proven to have patience and not to be too strict. One of the strictest BC rules can be found at this thread: click here .
How about.. ..food test??..humor test??.. But i do like the objective and subjective papers. On that note, i'm thinking, from now on maybe kwun should institute a requirement for a newly selected Mod to write a 6 to 7 page paper..
IQ test, blood test, history test, badminton test, bulletproof test. you name it, they went through them all. don't bother asking, all result +ve or -ve are confidential. it is either 7 page essay, or 3 days of labor camp. frankly though, i'd personally choose the labor camp. i hate papers.
^^Hah..^^ ..either the 7 page essay or the 3 days of torture..eerr i mean labor camp will probably turn away any future potential Mod applicants...Now they know how grueling a task being a Mod is..
By the look of things.. ..monthly report???..is that in an essay or papers form??.. ..all of the Mods, except our Mag, so far have truly enjoyed their role..I wonder though, does kwun give out somekind of a re-commitment form for you guys to fill out??.. He probably writes these 2 options on the form: 1. Yes, i will continue my service as a BC Mod for xx period. 2. No, i will not continue my service as a BC Mod. (Please explain your reason(s) in a 6 to 7 page essay)..that's why all the returnees..
I will be welcome by your future badminton revolution. Pls tell me the venue, time and I m curious to know how many days in your month that your moderaters excel in the game of badminton. Thanks!!!
