Default Old Tournament Details

Where can I find player details of old tournaments, especially 70s and 80s All England and Thomas Cup? IBF's website only keeps details of the tournament but not who's playing during that period of time. Does anybody know any website that keep this information? TIA for any help.

For the official tournaments under IBF, you can get them in IBF's website under : Result/IBF Events.

Thanks, I already knew that. Unfortunately the website doesn't keep the names of the players who were playing at that time - this is what I'd like to know.

I did that too. I also asked them if the info can be placed on their website alongside other details of each tournament.

I do have quite a bit of detailed results from 80s from

magazines like Badminton gazette and world badminton.

I am too busy now, after year end I will scan them and send them to Kwun to record in Badmintonalbum.com.

As for 70s the only records available I think will be found in UKs University of Birmingham library which has a large
and only one collection of baminton gazette in 70s.Mebbe try contacting them?

There were no badminton magazines in 70s and no world champs or Gps or world cups, badminton was a European sport in 70s.The badminton gazette is the sole authority in 70s.

IBF has just replied my email with the following link:
http://www.worldbadminton.net/Portal...9&scr=1024x768

Unfortunately it only has details of 2004 Thomas Cup, not the others. I sent another email requesting a further info on other tournaments. I think a separate link to archives would a be great addition - which was what I suggested.

The link, however, is still very useful and I can't help to see how useless aussie is compare to nz. I remember somebody told me that one of the leading state players tried to compete in all england few years ago but got knocked off in the preliminary round. The gap is just so big...
