A few gems from the east.

I just thought I would share a few stories from players I played with. There was a doubles pair who went to nationals and first round they had to play the reigning Canadian Champs first round.Well living off the reputation of being Newfoundlanders they decided they were going out in the first round with some humour.Knowing they had no chance they got serve in the first game on the racket spin.Well at the start of the game being no referees or linesmen in the early rounds the server threw the bird up in the air and smashed it down on the floor of the opponents like a tennis serve. The Champions were stunned and thought it was funny as the Nflders called out the score one love.THey were even more shocked when the server did it again calling the score 2 love.Thats when the champions stopped the game and explained to them it was an illegal serve. The Newfies proceeded to play dumb and played the rest of the games properly according to the rules but the score sheets displayed 15-2,15-0.Another story was from my friend who was a Canadian masters champion and he told me that he had played the great Mike Butler Canadian Triple Crown holder.I asked if he had gotten any points off him and he replied "Yeah I got 4 points off him and then he put on his shoes and picked up his racquet".Anyways they made me chuckle and I thought I would share.
