here is a little campaign i'd like all BF'ers, members or guest to participate.
the Olympics is coming up soon in 3 weeks. there is an unprecedented amount of coverage on the Olympics, especially in the US when badminton is debuting on prime time coverage. this is thanks to i am sure hard work on the part of IBF and other badminton associations across the world. and now that we have availability on TV, it is time for us badminton fans to do our work in return. aside from supporting the TV stations by actually watching the broadcast, which i think we all will, we need to spread the word to potential fans! so here is a suggestion, if you are a member in any forums/community on the web, they probably will have some off-topic/chit-chat forum, spread the word there, let ppl know that badminton is being shown and let them know that it is a great sport to watch. a small contribution on our part can go really far. there is no other time than now! any other suggestions are, of course, welcomed. the key is to spread the message to potential fans. |

also, after the olympic, give positive feedback to NBC and IBF (by emails) to show that there are people actually paying attention to badminton.

agree, and not just after, but also during the Olympics. even after the first day, we should start sending emails to them telling them how exciting the matches are. if we have enough quantity, it will make a difference.

We might even ask them to adjust the lighting and camera angles so we can tape and view them again later ![]() |

My friend use to think badminton is a sissy sport. I showed them a badminton match (Gave vs Lin Dan) and they were all
The olympic coverage is a great time to advertise our sport! |
