Default Post YOUR Yonex Serial Numbers Here (No eBay Enquiries) - Read Post#1 First!

This thread is only for Yonex racquets that YOU own.
This is not a thread for shopping enquiries.

Some fake rackets can be identified via their serial numbers. If you wonder if your racket is a fake, post them here so we can verify them for you.

The format of the serial number is:

1234567 311226XX

In additional to the serial number, you need to tell us:

WHO DID YOU BUY THE RACKET FROM?

That usually tells us if it is genuine or not.

Here is the template.
Cut and paste it into your post and fill in the details.
Every line is mandatory.
If you do not follow the template, your post will be deleted:

---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----
racket model: Yonex XXXX XXXX
shaft serial: 1234567
cone code : 123456AB
source : shop name, location
price : US$???
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE ABOVE INFORMATION.

Read this article to understand what the serial number means:

Please confirm the cone code; it is in the wrong format, 1 digit too many.

Don't worry, it's counterfeit - confirmed via PM.

Let me know...but do I really want to know? Maybe just to post the name of the person who sold it to me (don't worry, it wont be in this forum!)

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Nanospeed 8000 shaft Serial:6051022; Cone Date Code:210362CH (date=21 Mar 2006) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Further to my post #1984 of this thread.
Pictures of the racket proved otherwise and fake racket makers can fake serial no. and date code perfectly.

That is why my disclaimer warning.

if it's too good to be true, then most of the time, it is. don't expect to get a high end product (especially yonex) to be sold for a ridiculously low price.

Questions which you should be asking to yourself.

- How much does the real NS9K go for?
- How much did you pay/bid for the NS9K in the auction?
- What does the real NS9K look like?

I think you will find out the answer soon enough.
