These look very nice in some of the Euro 2002 pictures. Can't seem to find reviews. Anyone tried a pair?
2 links Clark/Robertson Central Sports After losing the toenail on the big toe on my right foot using SHB 95's I was wondering whether the 'toe bumper' on these shoes might offer protection. I'm not sure whether I'll buy another pair of 95's.
.....what do you mean by losing the toenail? Falling off or it is loose? This experience of yours is making me feel disappointed in Yonex products.
I managed to whack my toenail on the floor a few times which made it turn black and then eventuall fall off. Whether this is to to with the SHB 95's or just me I don't know. Width, size? No idea. But what I will say is that I've never had this problem in around 20 years of playing so I'm not convinced it's to do with me. On another point regarding Hi-Tec I had a really funny response from them when I asked them what shoes Clark/Robertson were wearing at the Euro 2002 championships: Hi, Not sure exactly what they were wearing at the Europeans but it would have been one of three shoes. If the colours were 1 All black then the shoes were Vanquish (rrp £30) 2 Navy and white then Adrenalin Ultra (rrp £40) 3 Black Orange/white Ultra Pro (rrp £50) as in pic above for stockists local to you phone 01702 541771. Equally there are several mail order companies, Central sports, Monkhouse Intersport, Kingswood Leisure and PWP who stock all of the products. The number given can provide further details of these retailers. Hope this helps. Secondly the bit about what the hell this guy is talking about is hilarious LOL
Sad First the shoudl have the deceny to say they are not sure so they will look into it and let u know. This guy goes arnd making wild guseses and i think they are really more bothered abt the Squash market than the badminton market. The worst compant i have seen is Central sports. They have nopt mailed me back in 2.5 yrs. I dont knwo how they are so successful.
hey i have this big toe nail problem as well, anyone knows why? i think i have gone thru 5 or 6 new toe nails imagine the pain i go thru! same situation! please help us!
yonex shoes (cheap model) , nike court shoes, nike running shoes they dont give my big toe nail a chance!! must i buy high end badminton shoes!!!
Gon, please go out and buy some decent badminton shoes. and the high/low end models really doesn't matter that much. in fact, i think lower end models are fine too, as long as the fit. i went to look for shoes last year, i tried all the shoes in various shops, and unfortunately, the only pair that fits me was the most expensive one. but it was an excellent fit. so i had to starve just to get it (j/k). badminton shoes wears out rather quickly. so the cheaper the better sometimes. but back to my original point. shoes are extremely important, sometimes i think it is even more important than the racket. you are asking for injuries if you are wearing running shoes. remember, if you can't get there (and stop), it doesn't matter if you can hit the most magnificent shot with the world's best racket.
i need someone to help me to isolate the problem, my feet size is huge ,size 11 (compared to asian) i have wide feet so is it the fit? thank god, i found someone (ukplayer) with the same problem, i tot i am suffering alone, but he uses SHB 95!! kwun, thanks for ur advice! i understand
Looks like I was wrong. These are the Adrenalin Ultra (cheap) Hi Tec got back to me: Hi, The shoe worn by both players is unlikely to be the Ultra as this is a two year old shoe and both have received product from me in the last few weeks. The Adrenalin Ultra are identical upper except in colour (ie blue) to the Ultra Pro worn by Anthony Clark in the picture. Hope this helps anyway! Regards, Hi Tec Person 1 P.S. Sorry if any offence was caused with Hi Tec Person 2 response, internal office banter and I should have deleted this! Apologies anyway!
Re: Sad Hmm, that's wierd yogi. Whenever I inquire about racquet info and shipping info, I always get my reply the next business day. Maybe you should try emailing them again if you didn't receive a reply within a week.
Oh good... so the toenail does grow back? *Phew* I thought once it was off it's gone foreverrrrrrrrrr.. hehe How much pain is it when toe nail is off?
don't you have to phile down the bone so a new nail grows over? that's what happened to my friend that lost a nail during a football scrimage.
Firstly, emailing centralsports has always gained a response. It may be brief, clipped and innaccurate but they have always got back to me. They told me that there is 'no MP90.' They also told me that Yonex shirts are available from April, now they say June. Anyway, this is market place forum talk. Secondly, shoes. I have usually bought Hi-Tec. I started with the old Badminton range, then the Squash X4's (Sqaush not Badminton because I preferred blue to green, of course), then I used Nike QuickCourt which were the best grip but very short-lived. I have had three pairs of Adrenaline Pro none of which lasted longer than a season. My current shoes are the original Ultra's and are probably going to give out sometime soon, but they are over two years old now so I am more than satisfied.
fingernails detachment are basically very painful thats why it is one of those torture tests that was invented the chinese used bamboo sharpened ends to drive it in between ur fingernail and the skin beneath, and they make sure the entire nail is detached forcibly, can u imagine the pain?
UK Player: You're not alone...I too, have a black toenail on my right foot and one one on my left 2nd toe. I figured it's caused by my foot sliding inside my shoes when I lunge for a shot. I've been told that this happens because my shoes don't fit correctly (probably too wide). I've been wearing HI TEC Lady Adrenline. As of yet, I have not found a solution, but tennis shoes seem to fit me better. Let me know if you have found something that works for you.
