Default Looking for players in San Francisco, CA

Hello all you badminton fanatics!

I'm new to this site, and relatively new to the sport (about 1 year).

Looking for playing partners around San Francisco or Pennisula.

I'm around Advance beginner/intermediate, but I've been playing with a
group of friends for the past year. I would love to play with some new friends
to see what level I'm really at and if I've improved at all.

If you have a group I could tag along with, that would be cool too.

Have a great one!

Default when do you play?

Hey Mesita1,

I actually play at westmoor sometimes on fridays and sometimes on saturdays. Maybe I've seen you there. When do you usually play at westmoor? When do you play at south san francisco? I've wanted to play at south san francisco, let me know when you go and maybe I could hook up with your group.

peace,
prophet

Hi, if you have time, you can come down to play in San Jose State over the weekend. I think they have open gym on saturday and sunday from 2:30 all the way to 10:30. It's $2 every 2 hours.

I play there on sunday afternoon.

I"m from San Jose, does that count????

If you guys are interested, heres where i play..

Fridays-
-Branham High School 6pm-10pm (not so crowded, always a free court )
or
-Camdien 6mp- 10pm

Saturdays-
-San Jose State- 5pm-10pm
or
-Evergreen community college-6pm-10pm

Sundays!!!
-Andrew Hill 1pm-5pm
then..
-Overfelt high school- 6pm-10pm

I'm looking for a "decent" doubles player (guy and/or girl) that reliable, and maybe with a lot of power, since I'm a control-type player. (doesn't really matter though)

I'b been playing to many tourcherous doubles games with a partner with horrible reflexes, or is just to lazy to even try and hit the bird!

Hey steve (Mesita1),

If you go to Westmoor this saturday, I might be there. I'll look for you. I'm a big chinese dude with glasses, long hair and a goatee. Otherwise, I might go to south city this week. Its still at South SF high, right? The one off of El Camino Real? Are they open every weeknight or just M,W, TH?

Have a good one-

Hey odjn and Lefty,

Thanks for the invite to San Jose. Its a bit far for me, but I might be in the neighborhood this weekend to visit a friend in Mountain View, so you never know.
email or PM me your cell number and I'll buzz you if I'm in the area.

when your near san jose, go post back here and tell us where youll be playing at...maybe we can get a doubles game going on.

odjn,

are you a highschool player? what would you consider your level of play to be? cause i too would like to have a decent doubles player to play with so i can play at more open gyms and improve more.

Joseph...

I consider myself an intermediate, with olympic status reflexes. My friends brother is not human, and he smashes like an andriod from DBZ or something, but I'm able to return his smashes most of the time.

Hope your my level, becuase I tend to improve more if I play someone exactly my level. I sometimes hate playing with my friend (who sux) or my friends older brother (whos not human) all the time.

Default Yo Steve

Hey Steven (Mesita1),

Are you and your Terra Nova buddies playing tomorrow(sunday)? I was thinking of going back to westmoor tomorrow, coz I didn't get enough of a fix of badminton tonight. Maybe we could get some people together and play some more.

later,

Default Open Gym...

at my school (Gunn High), we have open gym for our badminton club at our school. This month we will most likely have it open on the 19th and the 26th from about 1pm to 3pm, we usually stay longer tho. Since its a club at our school, only people that go to gunn are suppose to go, but since no one ever shows up anyways we have like 4 open courts.

Would like to invite mostly just high school students who wanna play against an average group of players.
Ok, reply back if anyone is interseted.

Late
