Pros: Lots of cushioning, good ventilation, grips well.
Cons: Sizing is a bit larger than standard,

Mizuno Wave Tornado (Tornado):
The Tornado is a volleyball shoe but works great as a Badminton shoe as well. This is the 4th pair of shoes I have purchased for Badminton; the others being one pair of Asics Tiger Typhoon and one pair of each, Yonex SHB-98 and 99.

I purchased the Tornado because I\'m a heavier player (230+lbs.) and need more cushioning. Though I really like the speed, lightweight and mobility of the Yonex shoes, after playing, my heels would hurt because of the relative lack of cushioning. I\'ve switched to the Tornado about 3 weeks ago and have been playing 5 times a week and my feet are doing OK, they don\'t hurt much at all.

Again, there\'s lots of cushioning compared to the Yonex Badminton shoes and the ventilation is excellent. The Tornado does not heat up like my Yonex shoes did (sometimes). It also grips well, although I do not think as well as my Yonex.

The only negative aspect of the Tornado is its sizing. I purchased a size: 12.5 and it\'s still a bit big. The Mizuno 12.5 relative to a Nike Size: 13 is about 13.5. So if you are looking for these shoes, I recommend you go at least 0.5 to 1.0 full size down relative to a Nike or Asics Tiger shoe. Best to try out the shoe or buy it from a place where you can return it if the sizing is not ideal.

Other than the size issue, I\'m very happy with these shoes. They also look good, are relatively light (not as light as the Yonex), and seem to be very durable.

Overall, a great shoe for heavier players.
