The aerogear 660 is a great shuttle. It is long lasting and holds its shape. However, the problem I have experienced is the consistency of the quality.
I have had ones that wobbles. Another tube, all the shuttles have one fragile feather that breaks off after 2 mins. Not evern steaming or dipping helped..

The Carlton AG660's used to be a reasonable quality shuttle in the under $13/dozen market. They should now be selling between $11 and $12/dozen in the US.

The quality in terms of flight characteristics and also durability have gone down in the past 2 years very noticeably for all Carlton Aerogear shuttles in the US.

The 660's feathers in particular are very light and very brittle - Kwun's right that even with hydration, the feathers are very fragile. The consistency of speed and wobbling/not turning is to be expected in lower grade shuttles -- but now that there are many shuttles in this price range of better quality (flight consistency) and durability, this is pretty much a dog! Two good alternatives in the price range of the AG660's are OCBC Special & Pro Kennex Grand Prix shuttles.
I have found all of the Aerogear shuttles i have experienced to be very unstable in flight, their durability has been questionable many a time and i would opt for the Kennex pro feather shuttles over these evry time. During one match my opponent and i managed to behead every single shuttle in the tube within 55 mins, i found this unacceptable and have written to coplain about this to Carlton.

i think carlton shuttles are poorly made. it doesnt last a game up to 15 . the feathers breaks easily and after abit of smashing and driving , it doesnt fly properly. i think its the worst make for shuttles. yonex isnt much better since a dozen doesnt even last a night.
if u wanna buy carlton shuttles then pls never get AG6. if u wanna get some carlton shuttles then do get AG10 cos they last longer.

I am not particularly fussy about my shuttles, so long as they fly reasonably consistently and are durable. I have used Carlton shuttles a few times now, and they are definately none of the above--they break horrendously quickly and their flight is poor. It is definately better to pop the extra five bucks and purchase either Victor Champion or Ashaway Black shuttles. They fly well and will last literally twice as long.
