Can somebody recommend a reasonably priced yonex racquet for an intermediate player? My requirements are for all around use meaning I like to use for smash and good controls for drop shots.

I notcied there was a yonex racquet chart on one of the postings, but I like to hear more opinions. I'm located in the Toronto area and I see there are MP 23, ISO 30 and ISO 75 at Sportchek stores.

I thought for my price range the MP 23 is good, but then I hear it lacks power?

Any thoughts?

Have you gone to Lees Badminton, Yo's Sports (@ First Markham Place) or Mandarin to look at their yonex racquets?

You may also want to look into Black Knight or other branded racquets (Victor, SOTX, Winex, Pointfore, Kason, Fleet) if you are on a tight budget.

I'd say the Armotec 500 is a good middle ground racquet that is between the very expensive and not so expensive Yonex racquets.

I don't know about other Canadian BC'ers but Sport Chek and Sport Mart would be one of the stores at the bottom of my list to get badminton racquets.

Hope this helps.

if u can go to some other sport equipment store that is not sportcheck or sportmart, u better go there and take a look! try brown's...I heard they're good, but I've never been there; too far from my place (~3 hours of driving on 401).

There's somebody online selling a used Yonex ISO900SX. What do you guys think? Is it considered a good racquet?

i dont think you should buy a used racket online. its not safe. if its fake, then u jus wasted ur money. and if it breaks, there's no warranty on it so u cant get it replaced

What if the seller shows you the racquet and even let you try it out first? But you are right, I will not be able to offer any warranty. :D
