R/16 continues with all the intensity of the last stop of the Super Series tour. Four MS seeded players have been ousted. Two encounters presented with gruelling battles yesterday, Sugiarto v Wei N and Srikanth v Chou TC. The other two outcomes were fairly predictable since 4th seed Tago and 8th seed Tian HW have had poor performances recently. It’s good day for Denmark as all their three players still exist in this round.

For WS, we’ll looking forward to rivalry between the youngsters at bottom-half of draw, Okuhara v Sindhu and Yamaguchi v Intanon. The two Wangs are expected to proceed into last eight as well reigning world champion Marin and Tai TY. China Open Champion Saina Nehwal has a tricky opponent in Zhang Beiwen as does 8th seed Mitani who meet Thailand’s Porntip.

In the MD discipline, two tight matches may happen between Ko SH/Shin BC v Kamura/Sonoda and Fu HF/Zhang N v Ahsan/Setiawan. Yesterday, third seed Endo/Hayakawa were surprisingly was sent packing by Danish #2 pair Conrad/Kolding who will now take on their younger teammates Rasmussen/Sorensen to chase a quarter final slot.

WD: All seeded pairs are predicted to prevail today with CHN, JPN and KOR having three representatives each in this category.

XD: A rematch of CHN Open final may deliver another thrilling atmosphere, Zhang/Zhao v Yoo YS/Eom HW. And two INA scratch pairs, Jordan/Natsir & Ahmad/Susanto will be tested by defending champion Adock C/Adcock G and Thai veteran Sudket/Saralee respectively.
