I don't shout because I find it really embarrassing. But, it scares me when guys shout haha. Your like Oh ****!

yes...i shout...after i done a nice rally or after i done a nice placement smash...haha... actually...i dont think shout when smashing is efficient...i mean...in terms of ur smash power...u lose some power of smash when u shout at the same time...u need to stop ur breath when smash and after that just u breath normally...i do think this is better...personally...
Actually, they did a study of how shouting affects your performance. Apparently, shouting does something to your body to allow it to perform better or gives you a short increase of strength. So shouting when you do your smash probably has some effect. I saw this on some channel that studies sports.
i only shout when i am barking orders. I play with newbs so i'm always shouting "left" "front" "SMASH"
Just a tip about that. If you aren't there to shout orders, what do they do (except possibly breathe a sigh of relief )? If you want them to improve, talk to them off court about the game. Then play with them but don't direct. When a rally occurs where you might have shouted, don't, but instead after the rally, say what you think, referring back to what you said off court. They will improve faster that way. Or are you only interested in the game, and in trying to control it, including the actions of your partner ?
I shout when i'm really in the game, trying to focus in winning the game, otherwise if it's for fun i don't really shout.
yes, i will. it will depend upon how the game goes. if it's an easy game, there is no need. otherwise, i will shout after making good moves / rallies. OR, i will murmur to myself, if I made some stupid moves.
Shout during a smash or during the play? Lol.. reminds me of Maria Sarapova or Monica Seles! I dont see a reason to shout during a play and its not natural to shout at a smash.. Only thing I see is to boost your morale after winning a fantastic point or after winning the match... I'll Shout "HELL YEAHHHHH"!!!
Just turn around and walk the other way and set up for the next point. Stuff like that will affect you only if you let it.
Whenever I make a stupid mistake....which happen quite a bit. :crying: But after a few shouts and really getting into the game...then no more. Save my breath for the game...
