oh...i am surprise tat u all dont know???...kak helang told me...say...rexy said when utusan reporter ask...out in utusan...
Just before I set off to QES today, Hau-Ge sent an sms breaking the bad news that Markis Kido was injured and they would probably lose the match today. So, I kinda half-expected the worst already True enough, Markis Kido appeared on court with heavy bandage on one of his knee and his body language in the first set certainly indicated that he was not at ease. He was trying to limit his movement and I don't think the INA pair was doing any attacking at all. Even during the interval and first set break, Sigit Pamungkas did not have much to say to the INA pair and was not as animated as usual as he only reminded Kido not to strain his knee further. The second set was a bit better as the scoreline was closer too....this time round, Kido was doing some attacks. However, Hendra was pulled to the back most of the times and he was the one chasing all the ball as Kido was instructed to be in front so that he would not aggravate his injury. It was inevitable that Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong win the match in straight-sets 21-11, 21-17. After the match, I went downstairs to meet Kido/Hendra and Sigit Pamungkas. True enough, Kido's knee was swollen and he was really in pain. I asked him why not just withdrew, he replied: "masih mau main dan kalahin Koo/Tan supaya bisa hattrick", ie: he still has the desire to win the match today to achieve the hattrick of titles at HKG Open Sigit Pamungkas and Hendra Setiawan also looked relaxed after the match. I don't think they were too concerned about the defeat today. This was different from the last time at Macau Open 2007 where I watched Sigit Pamungkas lecturing both players about the loss to Koo/Tan. Both Sigit and Hendra should be more concerned of whether Kido's injury could heal before the Super Series Final in three weeks time
No, I don't think Park wants to win the match. He just hopes to make more than 10 in each set. That would be a huge improvement for him.
Kido/Hendra, Sigit, and Vita are definitely going back home tomorrow afternoon. Since Nova/Butet lost as well, they should be joining them in the same flight (if there's vacancy).
hmm, as i said before..its either they continue play for the fans at the stadium or they are out there to play to defend their title here kido/setiawan i mean.
And 13 more PAW pts are sealed ...... INA XD have to get their act together. Hope Kido will be back to full strength in the Super Series Finals. How did he come about with the injury?
hey, why you mention2 my name, hehe. It's also in the chinese & english press lah. "FOR now" Rexy wouldnt split them. Future, dont know
The pair certainly looked very different if Kido stopped doing the attacks Hendra was just not comfortable at the back all the time.
