    I always thought it is the coach or the badminton commitee that determine which tournament they would enter.

    rajive and andrew withdrew as suggested by their national's foreign affair ministry due to sacurity problems in india lately....

    I thought Andrew Smith is the one, too. bad enough coz he is the num 1 player for England. India open should be merrier with the list of good players.

    somehow, that isn't happening in india. may be due to security issues or simply bcoz it's just gran prix gold tourney, less money, less points, less stars players . . . . . . . . .

    Zhu Jingjing withdrew
    better chance for Maria Kristin, but she should be carefull to Zhang Beiwen who won Vietnam Open last year.
    Zhang looked more dangerous than Xing Aiying or Fu Mingtian and this is 1st match of Maria back from long time injury.

    Yup, if Maria Kristin can beat Zhang Beiwen tomorrow, her second opponent should be more manageable. Then, she's likely to face Lydia Cheah Li Ya in the QF, followed by Saina Nehwal or Julia Wong Pei Xian in the SF.
