HY used to be in team China, but now moved to Macau. If I remember correctly, his style is closer to TH's than other Chinese players.

I don't think HY is very strong. CJ can beat him 10,10. More likely TH was tired/played with reservation -- two matches in one day is almost certainly too much for TH.:D

Hu Yun is now representing Team Hong Kong, not Macau  Zhang Dan/Zhang Zhibo are representing Macau.

It's also good to see ALL of INA's 4 WD pairs progressing to the next round. 2 Pelatnas young pairs begin their partnerships with wins over Indian and Malaysian oppositions. Komala Dewi/Debby Susanto will now meet the top-seed from SIN Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari tomorrow.

Annisa Wahyuni/Anneke Feinya Agustine also show why their bronze medal achievement at the WJC last year was not a fluke as they beat MAS's relatively more experienced pairing of Nairul Suhaida Abdul Latif/Goh Liu Ying. However, they will have a tough opponent in Tang Jinhua/Xia Huan tomorrow. Victories will be bonuses for both Pelatnas pairs.

As for the non-Pelatnas pairs, I was quite impressed with Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati's straight-sets victory over Wang Siyun/Zhang Jinkang. I think they should be able to beat Marylen Ng Poau Leng/Woon Khe Wei tomorrow, to set up a quarter-final match against the top-seed.

In the last match, Jo Novita/Endang Nursugianti struggled to beat the unknown Indian pair of Ashwini Ponnappa/Nitya Sosale 21-23, 21-15, 21-18. They should be able to progress to the QF too.

I have never seen LCW used his deceptive backhand drop before like he did in these games. Is it something new or it just looks different from this angle of the camera? Maybe it is just usable during exhibition games :D

Time for the INA's young MD pairs to show whether they are up for the task. Wifqi Windarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan are being white-washed by Hoon Thien How/Lin Woon Fui now....trailing 3-11 in the first set  Can they bounce back?

I predict that Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie will have a tough time against Chai Biao/Liu Xiaolong, CHN's much touted successor to Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun.

Bye bye to Mohd Lutfi Zaim Abdul Khalid/Teo Kok Siang as they lost to the more-experience Rupesh Kumar/Thomas Sanave. I would think that Teo Kok Siang will be better off continuing his partnership with Mak Hee Chun.

4 INA pairs are on court right now and honestly, all four could lose their first-round matches

Okay....a much better showing by Wifqi/Afiat...trailing 10-11 at the interval of the second set. Can they force a rubber?

Edo/Lingga also have reversed their situation, now leading 8-4. Good.
