    Nerves of steel..

..i want to see if LYD & LHJ have the "Nerves of steel" or not, after their Olympics experience last yr..They are, essentially, being handed the whole responsibility of winning this cup..Right off the bat, they will be under tremendous pressure to win the XD event..
    ..beats me...
All i know is that, it is nearly the same lineup which was used in the 2007 SC. The only difference is they played the WS event before the MS, in 2007.

Haha yes... China will take 2 singles... then for the doubles... it's 50-50... so the probability is they will take 1.5 games, so mathematically China should win 3-2... which is good, we can watch the final a little longer...

actually, if all of the doubles games China and Korea are 50/50, then mathematically, for China to win at least one match, is 1 - winning zero match.

    the probably of China winning zero match is 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.125

    1 - 0.125 = 0.875

so China has a probably of 0.875 to win at least one doubles match.

If it comes down to the last match tied at 2-2, I'd say all bets are off. CHN will be under as much pressure as KOR. And the KOR girls are no pansies either. If any pair can give Du/Yu a run for their money, it's these 2.

Would the crowd will give Du/Yu a huge advantage over Lee/Lee?

    It will be (damn) exciting..

..if and only if the KORs can win the XD event. It's theirs for the taking, they win it and they win the MD and they are set for the last match of the day. Do or die, winners take all...and all of us watching get the best treat..muahahahaha...

Haha I bet that doubles match should be MD, XD is a little tough for china, and WD, too much pressure, anything can happen... so the best chance is MD

Could go both ways. I don't see the KOR pair melting if they get this far. They are quite experienced and have come up against partisan crowds before

If China wins this Sudirman cup finals, at least Malaysia can say they lost to the eventual winner of the tournament.

So, here is KKK's reply to all the fans who wishes China to lose in the finals, click link to see what KKK has to say to you: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...1&d=1242492087

bananakid, you're the only one who wants to perpetuate this Malaysia-hate thing. Give it up... the horse is well-flogged and dead.
