    hi everyone,

About 3 months ago I bought an Arc Saber 10 2U. I have 26 lbs on the strings. I just don't like this racket because it seems slow to defend with...I have a good smash with this racquet but it seems harder for me to block smashes with. The Racket I had before this one was a NS9000x. Which I liked but....I have destroyed 2 of those in one year. Just from use not from clashing with other rackets. I am a singles B rank player. I play 3-4 times a week for 2 hrs at a time. I am not an aggresive singles player who smashes alot. I like to do a lot of drops and slices. Price doesnt matter... Performance racket over durability.

It's hard to defend because it's a 2u racket, exactly the same problem with 2U MP99. It delivers a very powerful smash but when you need to defend quickly it's very hard, you dont feel it heavy usually but 5 gramms make the difference when you make a very fast movement, especially after an hour of playing. I have Arc 10 3u and it works fine for simple. Else go for NS9900 if price doesn't matter, extrastiff and headlight like NS9000X.

AT500, 600 and 700 are good for attacking singles players. Avoid Yonex brands if you want to defend in singles, they don't have many good ones. I'd suggest Kason, like the TSF series. The Wilson K-factor series are good too if you want to defend.

NS 9900 for the win. It's a miraculously great racket to use but u gotta be prepared to get used to it before u can use it properly.

Nanospeed 9900 if you like NS9000X, same performance with better durability.

I think Yonex NS 9900 may suit you most.In terms of durability and the play style.

Try using a head heavier racket in 4U.. Like 900 power..
It works for me in both Singles and Doubles.. U just got to try it out yourself to see what suits u..

i think that if lordofthebumz is looking for better defense he should go for something headlite and 3u to maintain his smashing abilities. the nanospeed series should suit your needs.

Well, my NS9900 already starting to have the annoying cone popping sound.

Sotx Woven-8 seems to be a very nice single racquet. Victor's Superwave and Explorer series are also nice racquets for single.

W7 is way to heavy for singles.. MP100 is definitely a good racket for singles though.

weks  can u claim YY for something like that? their quality seems decline huh? :(
W7 is perfect for single, heavy racket should be not a problem in that term. In double yes W7 was too slow even you can get a very powerful stroke which can compare to at700 :) But lord ask for better defense and W7 is average on that :D

Give the Wilson k-Blade a try. That racket doesn't get enough credit.

Just tried Victor Bravesword 08. Very nice & stable but it's heavy head. 09 will be even balanced. However, for singles i wud recommend 08.

I have a BS08 and it works beautifully in singles however, I just don't like the lightness. Just my personal preference. :p
