    Wow..Thats unbelievable...!

    3 possibilities.....

    1) Indra was right with....'LD cant play in INA Open' theory.....

    2) Its pay back time for LD to 'let' CJ win as CJ 'let' LD thru to Olympic
    final....

    3) CJ is really on fire....and totally out play LD in the rubber.....(if this is the one,...LCW is in trouble tomorrow)

Perhaps it is a strategy to let Chen Jin play LCW in the semis. They both last met was in the AE'08 semis(correct me if I'm wrong),which already a year ago. From the perspective of China coaching staff, this is a good opportunity to see which level Chen Jin stand now,to the build-up of the upcoming World Championships.

LYB: Chen Jin got nothing to lose against the world#1 afterall. If Chen Jin lose this time,it's fine...let the horse come,I still got Lin Dan,BCL...

2009 Indonesia Open Quarter-Finals: Chen Jin defeated Lin Dan 21-4 in Game 3

    .
:eek::eek: What a shocker: CJ defeated LD 21-4 in the rubber.:eek::eek:

Someone must have told LYB about this thread. So LYB wanted to play tricks on us here at Badminton Central.:confused::confused:

Seriously though: I just came back from playing Badminton myself, so I didn't know what actually happened. Was LD injured, or CJ was playing exceptionally well?

Shall now go and read our Quarter-Finals thread.

Now I see your previous concern about the highly anticipated Lin Dan meeting Chong Wei in SF not coming thru ... Is not that bad either to have Chong Wei vs Chen Jin, may not have the drama but should be a solid and refreshing battle. Anyway, for Chong Wei is a lose-lose situation if he meets with lin Dan. If he wins then critics would say this SS is not the essential tournament and if he lose then he chokes again!
The only unfortunately thing is the match between CW vs CJ is not on TV court.
Took 65 minutes to overcame Lin Dan so I would have to say the fight is quite really, I think Lin Dan didn't want to push far in game 3 as he realized he might not win anyway, not on that day!
Taufik vs Soni on TV court, even a die hard like me find hard to generate interest.

WOW... poor organizing to the extreme of not showing LCW vs CJ. Could have easily take out a WS or WD match from the TV court.:(

I wonder if they would have the same plan if it would have been Lin Dan vs LCW.

Tuafik basically is untouchable and you have to "give face" to other events(WD,WS,XD), is a tough decision for the organizer. Should have done like Swiss Open separated into 2 sessions and broadcast every semi final match, sell more tickets that way :D

    indra is always right..
if LD wins titles, LD got chinese helpers from CJ, BCL and CY

if LD loses title, LD can't win in MO and IO.

He came, he saw, he played but...

..i'd like to add a fourth:
    4) LD didn't want to reveal his cards to LCW prior to the upcoming WC..

That final rubber game scoreline between LD vs. CJ was simply.................Taufik Hidayat-2006 Japan Open MS Final-like..:p

    ^^The one in 2006 was a meltdown..^^

..this one, pitting 2 of the same countrymen, i would call a calculated move..
LinDan probably teased the crowd by giving them, and to an extent LCW and Taufik, hope & forcing a rubber game but at the end he decided not to play along with them...Hence, he avoided a possible loss against LCW or TH...

^^Do you really think LinDan was out of gas??..^^

    - Do you really think he could have lost by a margin of 17 pts??..
    - When was the last time LinDan lost by that margin?? or close to that??..

LinDan knew, if he wins his match, he would be facing LCW, who's probably waiting for him in the Semifinals Rd. And if by chance LinDan wins over LCW, either Taufik or Sony, along with indra & the rest of the boisterous and rumpus INA crowd will be waiting for him in the Final Rd.
Unfortunately, if LinDan wants to keep his edge for the upcoming WC in India, he should've competed in last week's S'pore Open and probably could've win it.

This is obviously match-fixing. China would like to have LD and Chen Jin as 3rd and 4th seed for WC so that they won't meet too early at QF and SF. China always treat individual event like team event. I hate LYB and it is a shame for us being a Chinese. Without such match-fixings, China is still the strongest team on the earth. Do they need to do such things so often?

There is no smashes from LD during the whole match..basically all rallies and it seems that CHN wanted to have CJ to test LCW instead of LD...very dissapointed that we cn not have LD vs LCW in SF.....at one point..at the end of 2nd set, people thought CJ was injured...and would not continue to 3rd set..he did but LD hardly smashed and gave away the match......

Basically in 3rd set, LD was not bothered to pick up the shuttle, send it to net or wide.....it is too obvious that LD gave away th match to CJ..
