Nitya/Greysia and Shendy/Meiliana still have trouble to beat top-pairs.

im not trying to be negative or anything, but i think nitya/greysia and shendy/meli are ranked top 10 because of their consistency reaching 2nd rounds & QFs...shendy/meli have been paired together for a while now and they still havent won anything major....after being humiliated by gao ling and the other chn girl at PO, im sure you guys can tell the 'class' difference between the two pairs :( the same goes to nitya/greysia (SO against ZTT/ZYW). however, i believe greysia has the potential to be INA's backbone during UC next year, perhaps she should be the captain of our team :D

Well, somehow I agree with you.
Having 2 pairs in Top 10 is good.
But I'm sure we want world (read: CHN gals) beater pairs...

However, are you sure they are the only pairs having difficulty dealing with CHN WDs?;)

well i suppose you have a point there mate :D
CHN is currently dominating WORLD badminton, which frankly is making the sport really boring...sometimes i think CHN has cloned LD wkwkwkwkwk!:D
but i dont think they are to blame?cos we arent doing a good enough job creating chances and opportunities for regeneration...i read an article on kompas yesterday about junior world champ and INA only reached QFs beaten by CHN 3-0...the quality of our junior players these days are jst so disapointing, arent they?maybe the newly re-elected SBY could help PBSI out this time around?no?:D:D or get LYB to coach INA lol lol

Several short news from local newspapers

According to Kompas (July 15th, 2009) Indonesia Christian University (UKI) and Indonesia University (UI) has an agreement with KONI/KOI to accept Indonesia athletes who want study there without any test, and Luluk Hadiyanto is now registered as UI's student.

and another news came from Media Indonesia (July 15th, 2009) which stated that Sony Dwi Kuncoro is declined his chance to participate in SEA Games XXV Laos. Sony stated that younger player (including Simon and Tommy) should given chance to play and deliver good result fr Indonesia team. Sony also stated that he is preparing for his marriage that will be held on Saturday, July 25th.
In the other hand, Lee Chong Wei stated that he will participate at SEA games XXV and eager to won Gold medal because he never won it at all. His best achievements were two bronze medals at SEA Games Vietnam (2003) and SEA Games Philippine (2005).

    Hmm..

..maybe the 3+ yrs time period for a turnaround (until OG 2012), at the minimum, is a bit optimistic..:p

PBSI had announced long time ago that Sony, Maria Kristin, Kido/Hendra and Butet/Nova wont be for Laos Seagames...Simon and Firda will carry the torch with bona/ahsan etc..for XD, Devin/Lita and 2nd pair will be chosen from Pia/Frans,Rizal/Debby and Tamtowi/Richi..thats why these 3 pairs always go to same tournament.....

General Djoko, I'm pretty sure our juniors have been tasting enough Delta Force-style physical and discipline training. What's left is sending them to the real battle. Int'l tournaments. Expose them to real enemy, not just playing among themselves.
The result is very obvious. Only 1 Pratama pair remaining in AJC SF. The rests? KO.:(

And...why don't you simply send some of your drill sergeants to Cipayung camp, instead of leaving those juniors to train without decent sparring partners, in Magelang?

    Generaaaal, wheeeere aaare yoooou?:crying:

    For next WJC,
PBSI should consider to call Djarum coaches rather than some "inexperience" Pratama coaches and the team should be

MS : Riyanto Subagja, Ary Trisnanto, Evert Sukamta, Hermansah
WS : Febby Angguni, Ana Rovita, Siti Anida, Rena Suwarno
    MD : M.Ulinnuha/Berry Angriawan, Rendi Sugiarto/Angga Pratama, Didit Juang/Seiko
    WD : Tiara/Suci, Della/Claudia, Nurbetta Kwanrico/Aulia Putri
    XD : Rendy/Tiara, M. Ulinnuha/Della, Kevin/Suci, Angga/Gebby

I agree for most, except for Ulin playing in XD. Let him concentrate in MD. Also, sending Ulin/Berry, Febby, Ana, and Riyanto to Laos and Indonesia Int Challenge will allow them win valuable ranking points with the hope that they will seeded for the WJC, esp for Ulin/Berry. Ulin/Berry met the first-seed in AJC too early

Ary Trisnanto and Evert Sukamta failed BIG TIME in AJC, losing in their first individual matches. And Ronny Agustinus still dared to predict that INA can win the BS
