I am waiting for India to be the 6th badminton powerhouse... The first 5 are obviously: China Indonesia Malaysia Korea Denmark The next 5 should be; India England Australia USA Brazil I'm just thinking ahead.... Without enthusiastic participation from countries all over the globe, the future of the game is not so fantastic...
It's about time! http://soon.smugmug.com/gallery/9132225_ADDvk There you go BTW, I would replace Australia from that list with New Zealand... they may have the numbers and funding, but I think historically NZ does better than AUS
India is still atleast 20 years away from becoming any potent force. China is way above and deserve a separate listing in itself. Though, IMO, this is dangerous to the sport. I don't know if anybody apart from Chinese play table tennis any more . I respect the Chinese power and passion for the sport, but I love badminton even more. I won't like seeing badminton going the table-tennis way. The more the merrier.
..yeah, Japan should be up there, at least before India. ..how abt Hong Kong China (okay, i know they're a part of China)??.. Thailand??.. Australia and New Zealand should team up together.. USA is still far...Brazil is even further.. Btw, thanks for capturing and sharing the pics with us all, noluckjim!
NZL is slightly ahead of Australia at Badminton most of the time . Hahaha... It would be a dream for Australia and New Zealand to team up together. With our AUS-NZL Rivalry, it'll never happen. Btw, NZL is slightly ahead of AUS at Badminton most of the time. .
I think New Zealand has been kind of weak lately, Australia could possibly be ahead for now. Anyway, I don't think it would even make much difference if NZ and Aus teamed up .
If you can't beat 'em, why not join 'em??.. ..okay: The Aussies provide da MOOOOOLAAAAHHH$$ and the New Zealanders provide the players...
wow, you are surely indeed a very big fan of CHW in bc unfortunately she lost in the final, by right she should be able to win the match together with wiratama after i watched the match. anyway, all the best to them in the world championship
Singaporean younger players have been making great progress lately . We shouldn't forget to include Singapore. Their younger players have been making great progress lately. .
NZ have no market... too few people... many many cattles though... If we see the world today, yes, Japan is up there, but we need the whole planet to be involved in badminton... That's the situation right now... We need the BIGGER countries like the US, India, Brazil to be involved... maybe Russia too...
