OK this is big news and worthy of its own thread I think.

Not least because many of us were unable to view the match live so I'm sure all of us out there are curious as to how the match went/ whether it was a case of bottling it/ silly unforced errors or just Sony being too good.

So can those who saw the match please provide some post-match commentary?

    Many thanks in advance!

unforced errors... imagine swiss open 2006 final LD=LCW and LCW=Sony... LCW having trouble to end the rally and he got panic when his smashes return to his side... oh darn.. a heart ache, really

What a joke for a so called "WR1"

This is exactly what LCW lacks, confidence.

    What's the....

    hey man,

you should add the other No. 1 seeds in your list, and their coaches, and their fans.... don't write such annoying statement... it's basically.... annoying...

even LD is fighting hard now... No.1 seeds means absolutely nothing if you don't play your game right... in short, they are human... win or lose is meant to be...

thanks for those who replied with observations on the match...
yeh I can imagine the occasion getting to LCW, esp with Sony being his opponent (who has always posed a challenge to LCW in the past)
for LCW, the search for a Badminton "Major" trophy continues...

It has nothing to do with confidence. LCW was playing his bloody best. Kuncoro was magnificent with his game -- he brought his "AAA" game with him. His drop shots were nothing shot of superb.

Even the staunchest of LCW fans, namely me :) , will not feel too bad. Aloha Sony, you deserve to go on and win this one (to replace the one you missed out in 2007).

WOW. So actually it was a case of Sony being just too good and outplaying LCW? (thereby forcing LCW to go for too much = forced errors)???

    Amazing...

true, he plays his game as usual but sony too good in returning all his shots... makes lcw panic, makes errors and then gives up... even his magical net shots are working against him...

Limsy: haiya, I directly change channel when he lost... our MD? dunno la... maybe fuzzy can pull it off... i think kkk/tbh still bringing the same mood of play... they nearly lost today... next is korean ace... so brain tiring to predict... dunno will kan cheong or not...
