Congrats to the Danish pair Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl. They deserve to be the World Champions after beating the top 3 pairs in the World Ranking at the moment! It was clear from the start of the game that Nova/Butet lacked confidence in facing the Danes and gave lots of cheap points to the Danish pair, either because of unforced errors or numerous service faults from Nova

It's a sad farewell to Nova Widianto as this will be his last WC and let's hope Liliyana Natsir can forge another top-class partnership with either Mohd Rijal or other players that we have at the moment.

It's over but wow, what a costly service error from Nova at 19-16...that could be the turning pt of the 2nd game as the INA were on a roll, too...Novaaaaa, Nova...
Wow, Laybourn was so excited he ended up throwing not only his racket to the crowd but also his wristband...he should've thrown away his shirt as well..;)

Have a good retirement, Nova.........hope that new combo of Rijal/Lilyana can break the jinx against Laybourn/Juhl in the future.....

LYD missing from the prize presentation, must be doing some hibernation to prepare for his battle.

Yeah, quite sad ending for Nova :crying:
Meanwhile Butet will try to pairing w/ M. Rijal in the upcoming Chinese-Taipei GPG
Hope it will bode well, better than Rijal/Debby combo

..it's his poor service that's always been his achilees' heel, even from the time he won the 2005 WC XD title..if the new dude still has the same service problem as Nova, then the problem will not go away...
..haiyaaah, this eaglehelang, thinking abt a strip tease show, eh??..
..no, actually Liliyana was telling her "Thank goodness it's my last ever tourney with Nova. I'm so looking fw to another partnership. Do you know everytime he serves, it's almost as if i will be a sitting dead duck"...
