I hope the uncles (LWW/CTF) win tomorrow together with YW / ZJW. would be a nice back to back gold medal for the soon to be husband and wife.

Or worst case scenario would be back to back runner-ups.

Uncle WCH played like a man possessed. He has been 'humiliated' by the young ones for so long that today he decided that enough was enough. He had nothing to lose and for CJ the world No. 2 to lose after his 2009 WBC runner-up finish is not easy to swallow.
The other 'uncle' pair of LWW/CTF also entered the mens' doubles final and this is after the 1st round defeat in the 2009 WBC. This shows their hunger to win which is very commendable.
It is hoped that the uncles will give the young ones a run for their money in tomorrow's respective finals.

    :D:D:D

Yes, there are over 30 legal casinos in Macau and they can have a great time there.

It will be very tough for Uncle, maybe Chong Wei will be in generous mood.

Again, CJ has proved that he can not win the tourney by himself....he needs LD to be on his side to win...actually I am surprised that CJ beat WCH badly in WC and now WCH could win..

Only surprise was the CJ vs. WCH's match..

..i tried to stay awake to watch the LCW vs. Taufik's match but to no avail; could only stay up til JYJ vs. WC's match..:p

But wow, the only surprise so far is the loss of Chen Jin to uncle WCH. Although he lost in rubber games, i thought @ one pt of the 3rd game CJ was either out of gas or just lost the determination to play (losing 10-1 or 11-1?!?!). What a turnaround by CJ from last week's WC performance. Too bad we won't see a CJ vs. LCW Final, which IMO, would've been a more interesting battle.

As for LCW, i guess his wish to get a title and not go home empty handed (and empty pocket) will come to fruition. Is he going to participate in next week's CHN Taipei Open as well??..

The rest of the Semifinals matches, i would say most were as expected if not up for grabs.
..the opposite happened before, yes, when no (or hardly any) M'sian BCers showed up. The reason, because there wasn't a single MAS player playing. So, in a way, it depends on the MAS players' presence/absence.
However, only a handful of those M'sian BCers would show up even if MAS players didn't play..
Another reason why this tourney hasn't garnered enough interest is because of the players playing. Partly also because the WC just ended and most of us are just trying to get rid off the WC hangover.
..madbad is actually (fill in the blank) born Canadian..;)
..jasonmarc & eaglehelang are both M'sians. Yes, there are impartial as well as overly partial M'sian BCers; of course, the latter is more dominant..One way to detect a member's nationality/country of origin is by how much s/he mentions, defends, posts or simply gets involved in certain baddy players' threads, topics etc.

NO, LCW is not going to participate in TPE Open.....his name is not in the draw....:)

Why 'fill in the black'...? What is it about...?

    Datuk LCW should keep going..

    - IMO, Datuk LCW should continue his journey, seek another title and add a few more extra pocket money..His attendance @ the Chinese Taipei Open will also bring in extra interest from the Taiwanese baddy fanatics..
    - Oh, what's all about the "fill in the blank"??..well, that's supposed to be a hush-hush..;)

For the promotionn of badminton worldwide, apart from the prize money, I think LCW is doing a very good job. He has taken part in most of the tournaments. Actually he should be more selective and give himself more rest.

And on the prize money, those paid out badminton is peanuts compared to other sports. Yesterday at the Macau open, for 3rd placing, it was only US2,640.000 (shared by 2). Is it enough?

You have overly understated yourself here, think you deserve far more recognition;)...XBall has DLCW's name tattoo on your butt and tiny MAS flag on your chest:D:p
