hi, i have questions about him. Does he have no coach ? Why is there no "malaysia" written on his shirt ?
he is playing as an independent now but it's really up to him to put Malaysia logo on or not, i think
Yeah, players attire are provided by their sponsors and most probably they forgot about the flag. I noticed the same on LWW and CTF, only thier names.
Mas logo that wasn`t very nice to players eventhough they r Ex Mas National team . Somehow its unpatriotic but then it may have a case of team manager wasnt aware of or pure over sight...typical Mas of management....argh!
WCH is a great person outside the badminton court, he is friends with Peter Gade, Taufik and others (not incl Lin Dan who is not anybody's friend). I heard even Bao C Lai is better with LCW and WCH than with LD, except when the latters are on team duty like the Thomas Cup and Sudirman Cup. WCH came to Australia for the Thomas Cup in 2002 and he beat every other player, incl Lee Hung Il, he was so impressive.
WCH...if he can continue play like this....by next year TC....Mas will have a very strong 2nd MS...........
Remember, he beat Chen Jin last week, and H Hashim is returning to form. Chan kwang Meng or Tan C seng might be 3rd
Judging from the current performance, Malaysia still has to rely on Choong Hann for another 2 years. Hafiz, I'm not sure he still could bounced back. As for other Malaysia juniors - Chan Kwong Beng, Mohd Arif, Tan Chun Seang, Darren Liew, they still don't have major breakthrough yet at the senior level. What a disappointing scene. So to Choong Hann, Malaysia still needs you. Jia You!
Uncle WCH will still be playing until 2010, his contract with sponsors is for 2 yrs. After the current back-up, there's Iskandar, Syawal, Misbun Rahman (all 18) & Zulfaldi (16) but this batch of course will take min. another 2 yrs to develop.
I would say he played pretty well today, except his unforced errors at the net cost him many points. He made the Vietnamese guy 'go around the world' in the court-front-back, left-right. Plus Yoyo looks fiercer holding an AT900P. One word to described mr. yoyo, 'nonchalant'. He played relaxed, until you think he has no heart/pulse.
