If you r looking for a Li Ning racket good for double and attack, look no further than the Flame N50. The N50 is a direct improvement from the lengendary YY Ti10, looking at their BP, the shaft length, the handle length, etc, both rackets are very similar. However, the Li Ning N50 outgun the T-10 when it comes to the solid feel during game plays (drop shots and controlling net plays seem very easy) and the smashes it generates are more powerful as compared to the smashes generated by the Ti10 (maybe the tensions play a part as I strung my Ti10 at 24lbs and my N50 at 25lbs, both with NBG98 strings). I haven't played with a N55 yet so I can't comment much except from the specs given, the N55 has a heavier head balance for better smashing (I suppose) but less friendly for fast driving shots plays, which are more frequent in double games. I personally think that the N50 is better suit than the N55 for double games and vice-versa for single games.
In my opinion, both are about the same, but if i want it for double play , i will take N50 (Fu haifeng)
Please scroll up this page and read aramistuscany 's post link. The lining racket chart is IN THERE, in ENGLISH. Having said that, whether it is N50 or N55, i would not recommend u to buy it WITHOUT trying it. I got my N55 only after i tried it in the free testing session. Now, i know LN is still new and info, free demo, testing etc are still not available out side China and Singapore, well, what i can say is be patient, hopefully it will arrive ur shore one day. Till then, if u really willing to pay such high price for a racket that personally u have not try it, go ahead. Good luck. Cheers
It really depends on individual. For me, N55 suits me well in both doubles and singles. But u r right that N50 "feels" lighter and hence it is faster during doubles play where one can generate more "quick reflex" shots. Bottom line - Try it out urself before buying.
Any badminton Li Ning fans here can share with me , Where in singapore can i get N50 with the best discount, want to get it by 31 Dec 2009. thanks! As the question by the other bro, say need to test the racket, i dont think i need to test the racket, as i feel its about the same as my current armotec 700 (Old Color)
I am just exercising my duty in this forum to ensure people dont buy due to others good review, without urself trying it. But ...... At the end of the day, its a FREE world man. Ur $$$ ur call. Cheers
Yes brother , i agreed with u, dont because eg Lin dan use N 90 u buy , Lee yong dae use Victor Brave sword racket, also buy, at the end of the day must see whether u use suitable or not, and also not wasting the money on it. But for me, i switch from Yonex MP 100 , to Mp 99 , to now Yonex armotec 700 old color , which i got a friend bought it from china, which i am quite satisfied with it.
I think the N50 is a totally different beast compare to the MP100, MP99 & the AT700 old color. Maybe it is better to try out some Ti-10 first to see if you like the feel before splashing so much $$$ to buy the N50. I personally feel that the N50 is an improvement over the Ti-10 with better touch and power. So far, loving my N50 over my Ti-10 and AT900P for double games. As for my N50, I bought it 2 weeks ago at Queensway Shopping Centre (2nd storey) with a 20% discount off the retail price @ S$375. The price include BG66 string, grip and the red Li-Ning rackets holder. However, I have heard that if you can find some "lobang" with players from the Singapore national team, you can get the Li-Ning rackets with 50% off @ S$235 (without string and grip).
Yo dude, which part of malaysia u r from ? If u r in klang valley, go check it out urself. AJ racket mart in Puchong has Li Ning rackets. I am sure by now Pertama complex has it too (Dont ask me which shop, how to go or where. Dig this forum urself, there is plenty of post on each of these malaysian famous racket shope, with address and contacts.) Cheers
I just tested the N50 today, strung at 25lbs with nanogy 95. I'm a lefty, I played doubles, mixte and singles with it and as first impression, I'm quite amazed by it. IMO I find the racket pretty light (between 3u and 4u), headlight and medium stiff. I noticed that the grip length is shorter than N90 or N70, which makes the shaft more flexible. The closest comparison for this racket is the Armortec 800 Defensive but much better. I get more power with this than the at800d. Perhaps because of the longer shaft. However I need to get used with the headlight, cause my smashes and my netkills weren't steep enough to my liking. Defense is excellent, thanks for the specs again which allows quick retrievals and quick backhands strokes. So if you know your badminton, with these specs, the racket is mainly for xd and doubles players. I wouldn't recommend it for singles players since it lacks of heftness for precision and head-headviness to place your shuttles all the way to the backcourts. Perhaps the N55 would suit better for singles. The only drawback I have is the cosmetic, it looks too much like the arc-10. Having the flames design like the N55 would have been just perfect. I have a N70 to test also. Gonna try it this week and will post my comments later. Cheers
I'm gonna try the NS9900 this week. Haven't strung it yet. A second comparison would be the AT900Technique or if you wanna compare to Nanospeed, maybe ns7700.
Vs Technique. Power = same Defense = Higher Control = lower Vs Nano7700 Power = Higher Defense = Higher Control = same I believe the main role plays in the balance point of the N50 racket. Having shorter grip length and longer shaft makes the racket unique. Being an old school fan of light rackets and specialist in xd games, I would say that it's like playing an iso800tour (same grip length), but "extented" because of the shaft.
