Hi Heong, fully agree with your comments except the last sentence. I don't think Choi Ho Jin is a secret weapon from Korea, remember he lost previously to Du Pengyu in the team event ? We have to see more matches of Choi before we can see his real potential. Also, he was born on Feb 1985, which makes him almost 25 years old....... not sure if he will have enough time to make it big.

    Limsy dear:
LD played a total of 5 matches at the EA Games, go check at tournamentsoftware.com yourself :)

After the Japan Open, LCW took 1.5 months rest, return to won 5 matches in HK and then lost in the 1st round of China Open, it is very OK for LCW to say he's tired while LD cannot say he's tired after 6 tournaments with 30+ matches ? you tell me:rolleyes:

LD played only 4 tournaments in the 1st 8 months, then played 6 full-length tournaments in the remaining 4 months, which period is more tiring to him?

Did LD ever mention that travelling affected his performance ? what's this train thing ? you are so funny :)

How come LCW is brought into this thread? If you would like to praise LCW maybe you should wait until his next victory over Lin?

true on your part. Yea, his age is quite a hinderance, but i reckon he has enough time to make it big if he works at it. The fact that i haven't seen him before, and then suddenly "BOOM" he beats Lin Dan makes it interesting. Even Park Sung Hwan hasn't achieved something like this for ages. I wonder how Choi will perform in the future.

the only problem in badminton now IMO is consistency. For instance, one can lose to a random but can also win a #1 player. It's strange but can happen and does. I believe mentality plays a big part in this.

well, i've said before, LD is generous as he knows when to give and when to take. Letting others to have 'some' titles are good for badminton, It lessen the jealousy tension :D

let me correct u something, CHJ was not better than LD, he was just more prepared, more fit and energized than LD that day. Oh no, CHJ came from nowhere and is gonna rule badminton according to u. lol

u r dreaming every players play his best or try his best all the time. Take taufik, show me a match where he played his best for start to finish?

funny how u say mentality plays a big part of this but it's not possible for LD to give his olympic best every match
