That is why Malaysia Open is a favorite ground for MAS players to prove themselves in front of their own fans. Maybe LD has thought about this before that he does not want to be embarassed again like previous years.

They might not be very comfortable with Malaysia hot weather(Korea weather has been below freezing throughout December & Jan) and the roaring fans. Just my opinions.

Overall, it is not very good day for M'sia squad. They were falling like shooting stars!

Ya kah? I know they were promoted to main draw cos other MD withdraw.
Anyway, Hoon/Ong really need to prove themselves or they'll be out of team, since their juniors have been moving up & overtaken them.

Hope they maintain this good form in tomm match vs Kenichi/Kenta, esp Ong SH who tends to get big headed.

But Ong Soon Hock and Hoon Thien How somehow made it a memorable nite for the badminton fans in Malaysia.

Even though the Malaysian Squad started badly, but it was the evening session tht brought back cheers for the fans. Especially the last match.

11 out 26 went thru, similar to 2008 when China came (OG qualification, so had to participate all).
This year have quite a number of BJSS juniors.

I can sense some Malaysia Boleh spirit right now :p

Calm down guys...it's only the first-day

With Jung/Lee gone, the title is surely for Koo/Tan's to lose

Well, I might be wrong, :p:p. Whichever way, I am happy for MAS. Really good performance from them, don't think any pair has given only 4 points to JJS and LYD in a set.

Too early to say if only have strong MD department.
Need to motivate more young MAS MS players to prove themselves like JOJ.

If AG/Alvent are lucky enough, they might just win a title here. But, 2 more MAS pairs await them before SF......sigh.....

Unfortunately, the match between LYD/JJS and OSH/HTH was not broadcasted.
So, we won't know what happened to KOR pair that they were only able to get 4 points in the 2nd set.
