    Yup!!!

It was an emotional day for the players yesterday.

The players will win. Now they are trying to get the govenment to step in and hope the TBA chairman will step down and get sack whatever. The players all do not like him..

Top Badminton Players Quit National Team, Blaming Poor Management
    UPDATE : 4 February 2010

Thailand's top ranked badminton player, Boonsak Ponsana, and other top Thai players have announced their resignations from the national team, blaming the association's poor management.

Yesterday at Arnoma Hotel in Bangkok, twelve national team badminton players, including Thailand's top-ranked player, Boonsak Ponsana, announced their resignations from the national team.

The players say the Badminton Association of Thailand's decision to sign the team sponsor contract has caused them great financial burden.

According to the contract signed by the association, players who have their own sponsors must be responsible for their own expenses at all tournaments.

The association has already been requesting compensation from some players.

Four staff coaches have also announced their resignations from the national team.

The players have admitted that their decision to resign could affect their careers, because the association's approval is needed for each international tournament.

They said they will return to the national team only if there is a major change in the association's executive members.

Meanwhile, President of the Badminton Association of Thailand, Charoen Watthanasin, said the association has already delisted the resigned staff coaches from the team.

However, the players have been given a last chance to return to the team.

If they do not show up for the team practices within the next couple of days, they will also be disqualified from the upcoming All-England Tournament in England, which will be held from March 9th to 14th.

The association has not yet planned for the other tournaments.

as if the player need u more:rolleyes:
    if they dont return
u(tba)wont get 2 slot for tuc,and also bye bye to any achievement for atleast 2 years
if the player stand strong,u are the loser
if tba doesnt approval and help player to submit entry
    just migrate to singapore,seriously
u love ur country but ur manager/asociation doesnt love u,just leave
even carrying other country flag,we still proud of u as a thailand player;)

anyway, there is still some senior player with tba as they didnt have conflict of sponsor, but they are on other senior side;)

According to my sources, Boonsak was actually forced out and the rest of the players and coaches are resigning because of this and other unfair treatment by the TBA. Mr. Charoen Watthanasin is to be blamed for all of this as he has squandered most of the sponsorship money that was to be used for the improvement of the National Team for his own use, such as flying 1st class for him and his staff members and other expenses. The Siam Cement Group pulled their considerable sponsorship of the National Team and set up their own team cause of the wastefulness and selfishness of Charoen Watthanasin and his staff. This is so sad considering the teams performance has made great strides in recent years and all the effort and discipline from the players and coaches to get to where they are now. Charoen Watthanasin is stupid for trying to force his will upon the players and trying to control their future. I hope he resigns and let someone who really cares and wants to HELP the team takeover his office.

Thanks for sharing the inside infos..

    ..with us, justme_manda and Vtec101!..
This episode shows, once again, what would happen when bad management get mixed up with sports.
Hopefully there's somekind of a resolution and we'll get to see both THA's T&UC squads compete in the prelims. It'll be a shame if THA won't be able to compete in the prelims because of this, esp. as the host country.

And I only think bad management and corruption only happen in Indonesia. Really a pity if all top Thailand players pulled out.

Yup... the impact of KOR team will be represented by low ranking-player (except Park Sung Hwan) and Lee Young Dae absence.
