When I was playing football back in my hometown, I had this coach whom I used to hate. We called him Cikgu Ali. He was a hard a#@ and used to give me hard time for not tucking my shirt/jersey in (you know la, I like to play my football in glamour style). Cikgu Ali was also very particular about general stuff like us attending to our prayers, being on time, cleaning our boots etc etc. Maybe BAM should have some form of code of conduct when it comes to our juniors. Set them right early.
If you can produce champions by just spending money, then Singapore will have the best home-grown champions in SEA. Secondly, if they have half-baked now, wait till they are fully baked.
Its like my buddy, Ranjit Singh s/o Ajitpal Singh, he has potential to play football, but whether he gets to play for Real Madrid or not ... sort of depends of him.
You are criticising the tournament participation then. Oh well, what to do? It's like the Super Series Finals. The top players (except Datuk) are giving it a miss.
if they already have a few SS titles under their belt or already beat top 4 pairs consistently then fine, they can wear their undies inside out...i am fine with that... but not an established pair yet, but otak already want to show fancy things....that is our players mentality...
Singapore invested more money into badminton than MAS? If its half baked, putting it back in the oven wont make the dish better.
Can't say I have heard of him. You need at least certain qualities to at least qualify having potential playing for Real Madrid. If he has those qualities, it's fair to say I should have heard of him by now.
Don't know, but they have A LOT of money to spend. If spending them would guarantee champions, you bet they would do so. Why not? Should be ok, right?
I think it is important for me to clarify things a little further. Dont want any bolehians to come screaming at me. First of all, I have nothing against our shuttlers with earrings or fancy themselves in putting on some lipstick or cross dressing etc. BUT and I agree with you, those things i.e. earrings, high heel shoes, mini skirts must come later. Our junior shuttlers goal now must be to established themselves in the arena. Badminton arena, not the fashion or high society arena.
Are you saying we dont have the cash to spend like Singapore? And what is this buying talents thingy? I think before we go whack Singapore, we need to look at ourselves too. We too buy talents like Singapore.
Are you saying we dont have A LOT of cash to throw around? The taste will be different. Anyway, it depends on one taste, I guess.
I have read it again slowly, and you are saying if we take away LCW from the tournament, then we (presumably Malaysia) have a bunch of average below par (average or below par?) players. I don't even know how that makes sense. This tournament does not even have all the top players in it. And CEH/WPT below par?
1. We don't. 2. Even if we do, it does not guarantee champions (this is my point) unless as someone mentioned, we buy them.
Calm down, please. No point getting your panties all in knots. Take a deep breath. Breathe ... breeeeathe ok? Ok, sorry if you are confused. I meant if we take away LCW from the recently concluded NGP, our juniors/back up/reserve etc shuttlers are pretty average. This is not good for our future.
