What do you mean we dont when we can spend billions of USD on some going to space ticket, Port Klang Free Trade Zone, Perwaja Steel, Bakun, building Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and that football stadium in Terengganu that is now a mirror image of the Colosseum?

Yes, it does not guarantee champions but at least the returns should be better than a bunch of current average shuttlers that was on display at the NGP.

I'm surprised China has not come in as a comparison yet

Ah, you should have said that earlier. Don't even have to take away LCW. Juniors/Back up/reserve does not include LCW.

I notice you keep asking people to take deep breaths and to calm down. Don't assume everyone is like yourself, being agitated over nothing.

After we have thrown away all the money on those things you mentioned above, we don't have much left.

It's a matter of opinion of course, but I think our current crop of juniors (with the exception of MS) are not too bad. At the very least, it's a bit too early to write them off.

Mak's earring dropped half way in the 2nd game and he kept it in his pocket.

And the coaching team ;) .Someone mentioned abt getting more qualified coaches for back up WS- they were trained by China coaches in BJSS .

It's not like youngsters are lining up to be in Msia's WS team - including WMC & the 2 new rookies - only 6 in total (that's elite + back up), with more leaving every year.

For MAS, I think MS, WS, WD backup are not at a good level where we can compete with other countries. XD, hmm... I think our back-ups are okay, though inferior to China. I think our MD is pretty good, actually.

That's because he has the right hairstyle to go with the earring. His left earring is a gold stud.
Hmmm.. I'm trying to figure out what they're trying to say with the left earring.
Maybe they are saying to their coach..'I have huge potential but your style is stifling me...I need more freedom ..'

I wonder what will happen if both LCW and LD wear left earrings in AE. Both should agree to try it and inject some sense of fun for fans. If some AE officials read well, it means they are saying the prize money is not enough.

Jing Yi rewarded with Uber Cup spot

PETALING JAYA: Youngster Tee Jing Yi has landed a place in the squad for the Uber Cup Finals after winning her first national title in Johor Baru last Sunday.
The 19-year-old upstaged fancied Lydia Cheah for her biggest career win.
The Uber Cup Finals will be held simultaneously with the Thomas Cup Finals at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil from May 9-16.
National chief coach Rashid Sidek said that a place in the Uber Cup team was just reward for Jing Yi, who had worked very hard to win the title.
“Jing Yi may not have strong weapons in her game but she makes up with a high work rate. She shows high commitment in training too. By winning the national title, she has proved to us that she is good enough to represent Malaysia in the Uber Cup Finals.”
Jing Yi’s game took a nosedive in 2008 but the Penangite did not throw in the towel.
She worked hard in training and last year did well to help Malaysia regain the Asian junior team title.
“We hope that Jing Yi will continue to show good commitment in training and the youngsters would also emulate her,” said Rashid.
Besides Jing Yi, the other singles players expected to be in the Uber Cup squad are Wong Mew Choo, Julia Wong and Lydia.
However, Julia and Lydia will have to get back into top form to add depth in the team.
Julia is coming back from a knee injury and needs to achieve good results in an international tournament to boost her confidence while Lydia has to be steadier in her game.

I think Tee Jing Yi has big potential. She has powerful smashes. Look at her arm. She has to improve on footwork, defend & front court.
