So I bought this pair of shoes. Quite comfy. It took only a little adjustment to shift to this shoes from using Mizuno Wave Lightning 5. People from this forum were right. The cushioning is great.

However, when I looked at the shoebox, I found out it was for a girl. It's written "women's shoes". Does anybody know the difference between the structure of the shoes for men and women? They look the same, at least in this shoe model's case. Is it gonna affect my performance as a player?

Haha. It's quite embarrassing for a guy to wear a girl's shoes. :p No wonder my size was bigger. LOL!

:D I was going to make a comment about big feet etc. when I saw it first time around but thought I'd best leave it alone :p
If you're going to post a pic of your shoes, do post a pic of your actual shoes instead of something grabbed of the web ;).

already have a pair of Yonex SHB 100 limiteds the red and gold ones that im using, picked up while in china last summer. so breaking them in now and using them, i think i will grab a pair of 101's with my yonex points that i have as well for when these 100's go then i wont have to worry about shoes for a while.

I can't really compare them to Yonex shoes, because I know Yonex shoes won't fit me. I bought a few pairs years ago and they're just too narrow around the toe area ("ergoshape" apparently means "ergonomically shaped to fit someone with skinnier feet than mine"). They also had dreadful cushioning, so I just vowed never to buy Yonex again - worst shoes I ever bought, in every respect.
To be fair, it's not just Yonex - I've had similar issues with other badminton shoes too, so I just started using regular running shoes - it's easier to get some that fit well, they have *much* better cushioning, and as long as the court is kept clean they'll grip just fine.

The Babolats are still pretty narrow, and I'll probably still end up stretching the toe area, but they're not too bad.
    Anyways...

    Styling:
I guess you'll either love it or hate it. To be honest, it's the only reason I bought them.

    Cushioning:
For a badminton shoe it's very good - much better than other badminton shoes I've tried, but worse than most running shoes. They also feel very "springy" when you move off after a jump / split step, which is nice.

    Grip:
Excellent, as you might expect for a shoe with soles designed by Michelin.
Let's be honest though - it's not rocket science, and companies have been making shoes that grip well on indoor courts for the last 50 years. All these supposed technological innovations (honeycomb tread patterns etc) are just marketing BS.

    Fit:
Fairly narrow around the toes, although not as bad as other badminton shoes I've tried. Quite roomy around the heel though.
Sizing seems to be pretty standard - about the same as Adidas and Asics, and roughly 1 size smaller than Mizuno.

    Comfort:
They're nice and light, which is always good.
The tongue has quite a sharp edge though, and it digs into the front of my leg a little. It's also attached to the sole, so you can't really adjust it for comfort (I'll probably fix that with a pair of scissors).

    I got them from a UK-based website: www.tennisnuts.com
They cost £60, which is roughly what you'd pay for the top-of-the-range Yonex.
