I would say that Fransiska Ratnasari is the most-improved player for 2009! Her committment was simply unmatched after she was ditched from Pelatnas. Not only she refocused herself and decided that the only way to improve and gain match exposure that her compatriot at Pelatnas will probably not have will be to join PB Djarum. Since then, she slowly began to deliver the goods and hopefully, she can still continue to perform under PB Djarum Once again, PB Djarum has shown that its record of winning in European IC tourneys still continue.
I am pretty sure Nana will beat Olga Konon next week. The question is how far can she stretch the top-seed Wang Lin? If she can force rubber-set....it will be a sign that she can indeed play against the Chinese
According to BWF, yes, Nana is #3... But according to PBSI, Nana is either #5 or #4..... I just said #5 to be underestimated by the Europeans... In fact, Nana can beat Firda and Febe anytime, depending on who is fitter.....
I heard she asked for extra sessions from her coach [in Kudus] all the time nowadays... She worked on new arsenals such as explosive moves after being smashed etc. And I heard her Coach once called her the female Andre... Not in a disparaging way, but in terms of strong strength and stamina [like Andre]...
I have mentioned that Nana,at least has game plan now..not just smashing..also her attitude is much better..congrats to her winning on Austrian IC
Well, technically since Nana has already won 2 IC titles and 1 GP title, the next realistic target will be more GP titles and a GP Gold title (which is damn hard ). Even Maria Kristin Yulianti or Adriyanti Firdasari has yet to win any GP or GP Gold title if I am not wrong.
Agree. Although not yet ready to break CHN walls, I am so happy with her progress. Let's hope for her first triumph over CHN. . Then start winning major title. As for Andre, he will win. 60-40. Not too interested to watch (TS). Off for now, sleepy. Thx everyone.
Exactly. This is one of PBSI mistakes, a player should win at least a title, to boost confidence, ranking strategy to reach better seeding position and save energy, etc hehehe.
I hope Andre finishes off the second-set quickly too so that I can delay my sleep for just a little while more....
Andre certainly appears to be in a hurry to win his long-awaited title since the Dutch Open GP 2008 as he storms past Matthieu Lo 11-2 in just 4 mins after the first-set break
The other reason why Nana performs well is she has no pressure when she was with Pelatnas...also she is willing to train hard
Andre Kurniawan Tedjono blasted past Matthieu Lo Ying Ping 21-12, 21-11 in just 22 mins to win his first title of 2009 2 titles for INA and 1 to go....but I will be off now
Wow, that was quick..... I went outside my room for a fruit snack, came back and found out Andre already won... decisively!!!
Andre doesn't want to make his fans [mainly in Asia] suffer lack-of-sleep... He made sure Matthieu had no chance of recovering from being blasted away.....
