what a semi final. Surprise reversal.... Loh won and Zulfaldi lost. Anyway it is good for Malaysia that we have two talented player here. Limsy is right... about Zulfaldi though. BAM should be developing players like Zulfaldi. Anyway as i said before winning the AJC not necessary mean the players will be a great player in the future. It is important to cont..learning and training. Anyway Limsy.... final day 2moro.Give us yr analysis on each potential junior players u seen on court.ok.
he is slower and slower when the tournament ongoing lol i was like i wont be there for the final the analysis will be done after i back from gathering
well about the linejudge this year i think they want to proof that they are not biased toward malaysia player as i saw some strict line call that against malaysia player, especially in early round and somehow i saw there is a player that line judge 'prefer'
Unfortunately, there are more bad line calls than the one limsy described. Most damaging was the call at 5-2 in game 2 when Evert's smash was ruled out. Since I was sitting direct within view of the sideline, I am sure it clipped the line. From that point on, Evert's game started to collapse after having held the net initiative. After the match, Hauge spoke to Evert to tell him to manage emotions during questionable calls.
The INA XD were given a bit of tongue lashing for not being able to capitalize on Lai's injury. About the only thing they did right was to flick her on serve, but then Della did not force Lai to move back and forth. With an injured opponent, Della had enough margins to play safe netshots which would still force Lai to move. After the match, Lai was still limping pretty badly. Not likely to recover any time soon.
The INA BD were probably overcome by match jitters. Dandi wasn't his usual self, setting up the rally. And Jones, despite having a power smash, had a predictable attack. Didn't vary his attacking angles enough and that is key when playing pairs with solid defences. His coach Sigit Budiarto was saying that they were unable to control the short pushes that were coming at awkward angles. Ow dominated proceedings, not surprising given his wealth of experience in previous AJC/WJC tournaments.
What can you say about CHN GD? They are seemingly able to string together a sequence of pts as simply as we open the tap water. Effortless. In the q-finals, I saw the Chinese coming from 10-11 down to go to 19-11 before taking it home. In the semis, this same pair did the same to the WJC powered Thai pair. Sonia/YLL didn't fare any better.
Seems to be a universal problem to all "talented" Malaysian players. For example, HH. On the other hand, all those "less talented" guys have good stamina: OEH, WCH, LCW.
LOL, just watch Li Gen, LYB's son video......LOL........his is just so stylish, so fat and so clumsy..........how he managed to enter junior national team ??......Out of this world...hahahaha.
Good analysis as usual from abedeng. The AJC is Dandi/Jones's first international experience, having been only sparring with fellow club-mates or pairs from other clubs during the Sirnas and Kejurnas. For myself, I am reasonably satisfied with their progress and since their only defeat came from possibly the best BD pair in AJC, so be it. They had beaten Kang/Choi (the other finalist), one of the other MAS pair, and Chopra/Praneet (who beat the other KOR pair) as well. So, at least, they have proven themselves.
no thats because he is not in the national junior squad it is good to that he lost now better than he lose next year
they now having the play off for the 5th spot for the YO 3 of the ws and ms if i am not mistaken and should be a round robin match start from 9am i will try my best to get the result to post here
well double are only part time job for them if sonia/yang able to beat the china wd it like a big slap on double coach face is it? he only protest for 3
Overall, I think its a good lesson for Zul before he take part in WJC 10............still have ample time for him to put in more efforts to further improve his strength and stamina. The coaches will have to be smarter in coming WJC10 with their game plan and strategies. The same goes to YLL and Sonia....
Loh WS I think will be among the hardworking group of players (ala Foo Kok Keong, Roslin, WCH). Not so much in terms of talent, just pure running. His never say die attitude in the q-final against Pisit was admirable. 3-11 and 4-11 down in game 1 and 3 respectively, and he turned it around. Thanks in part to Thailand squad which placed Pisit in 3 events of which he reached at least q-finals in all of them (semis in XD). Pisit should have been in coma with all that workload. Against Evert, Loh WS was more aggressive but very much exposed at the net. If Evert were able to persist with frontcourt play and reduce his unforced errors, Loh WS would have been easy meat.
