    1. That everyone I know says they play badminton but when invited to the club can't even hit the thing.. But Oh no badminton is an easy sport...

    2. Hate that everyone stops coming to club night as soon as it hits March

    1. Hate people who don't look ready to receive your serve, then they hurry you to serve
    2. Hate spectators behind you on the bench and have a lot to say
    3. Hate people who don't bring their own shuttles and ask 'Do you have any shuttles?'
    4. Hate people who take 3-4 tries to scoop up the biride w/ their racket and yet still toss it into the net on their own side of the court
    5. This maybe not always be the case, but from what ive seen....GIRLS who rarely ever help pick up the birdie even when they're the closest one to it.

Thats a good thing, it means that those who aren't committed and don't want to improve don't come therefore you get more court time, summer is a good time for badminton, more courts free = more singles games !

    hmmm to name a few...

    playing with plastic shuttles.

    playing with used feathers.

playing against someone who uses no power at all.. just lift the birdie so i can smash it in your face already ffs!

whilest playing in a competition and then having beat your opponent, watching him approach you and then talk about his excuse i.e. i ate something dodgy.. stfu.

i hate doubles, its just bollocks "yeah lets force a win!". my opinion solely, im sure those who play love it, chill :D.

Sister hate aside. There's a lot of in general hate lately. Quoting facts such as badminton cover more distance in less time than tennis is not impressive because people would argue "oh, the birdie is so light", the tennis racket is so heavy, it's so hard to cover the court because it's so big. Or there's no contact. Or, even girls can play. Or, the court is so small. Or, my grandparents play every time they go picnic, "I'm very good because I can beat my family". There's no unblockable moves you can do in badminton is another one I have come across, when someone would bring up, oh, you can hook shot or dunk in basketball, but you can block smashes in badminton, so that's not impressive even if they go at 250 km/h. Or badminton is just a reaction sport that requires no fitness, I saw it on TV once. Wow. I can go on forever.

people who insist for warming up for 25 minutes before each game when playing at a club... like listen, if you haven't figured it out yet hitting another 1000 drives is not going to help you out!!! ahh why keep me waiting for half an hour so that i can win in 10 minutes! it's especially bad when the courts are crowded and it is clear that they are doing that just to get more court time!

you should say that yes it is simple and you will probably kick my ass so let's play for a week's worth of lunch and dinner :D when you play... don't try to score (unless ur are behind). make her run until she's soo out of breath, she forfeits (and the game is not even over yet) :p now u know who i hustle for meals :O

that said... i hate how stores in US have limited brands. you actually have to know the right people to find obscure brands like RSL (yes it does not have any marketing in US and i like their rackets). i think the only store that has the most racket brands is badminton alley followed by bay badminton (which i think is overpriced only because I shop around and have the ability to choose between LA and Bay Area for shopping).

People who hi the bird over to ur side and hit their side of the net.

Breaking my racket ^.^. A guy who drinks water after 2 point each time.

now that i saw the quote from ilostmybrain from reaper... i just want to add... (and this is through no arrogance):
I dislike people that don't really play that well (wrong grip + no footwork on top of not thinking about where to place shots...) that always want to play better people but don't want to learn to be better. they think just playing more will help them improve. so yes... my arrogant in that there are some people i don't want to play...

BUT i would play people with wrong grip, no footwork but still think about where to hit, typically the old time players that has played forever and wrong grip and no footwork will never change, but they make the efford to get to the shuttle and they think). at least the ones i played so far made an effort and even ask for tips and actually listen.

that said, aside from game, i will warm up with just about anyone to their comfort/skill level.

She knows she's bad, but see, people know I'll kick their ass, so they have to attack the sport. Or people that say that they're good and it's fun (in their backyard).
